Unique, straight sandwich place. None of that wasted fluff other places try. Grab a beer or a delicious soda. Maybe a side if you are hungry but the sandwiches are good and potent.

The in house made mustard is really tasty! The pork crackling in the porchetta sandwich is great and tge5mix of flavours and sauces really compliment each other well. I hadn't been in years but it's still tasty and very filling (couldn't finish mine). Staff were super friendly and the decor was fun.

Still thinking about this The best sandwich in my life. The bread was fresh. The sauce was the winner! The staff was friendly. Atmosphere of the place was great! The meal that I’d never forget. Best for lunches! Definitely was underestimating this place

Dominant sandwiches. Fresh as you like and everything pro quality homemade and delicious. The pulled pork is smokey and succulent. Decor is urban and cool. Pretty much a perfect sandwich place.

The best sandwich in Vancouver. No matter what the special is (and it changes daily), the flavours always blend perfectly and the everyday sandwich such as the Prochetta, is astounding. Everything is fresh. Great environment. Nothing competes. Can I give this place more than 5 stars?

After 3 or 4 years of waiting, I was finally able to go to Meat and Bread. I have been wanting to try the Porchetta sandwich ever since I saw it featured on TV. The pork was very tender and juicy, and the bun was deliciously crispy on the outside while being soft on the inside. The sandwich just seemed very bland. The pork didn't have much flavor so the sandwich needed the salsa verde to give it that punch that a $10 sandwich should have. Instead, it was just kind of there with no distinct flavor. I don't even like mustard, but I ended up dipping my sandwich in it just to taste something. If I go there again, I will have to try another sandwich and see if it's any better.

Great environment and outstanding food. As a vegetarian I'm obviously missing out on the best bits of the menu but their grilled cheese and various salads are always excellent. The gazpacho they had on my most recent village was the best I've ever tasted. I've been thinking about it ever since!

A must visit for anyone visiting the area. I think the meatball is highly underrated and is my go to sandwich. All of the soups are always good. It has a lineup for a reason, it's worth it. A local favourite with a loyal following.

Good concept. Quick and delicious. However if I have to hear one more hipster call the porchetta sandwich porketta, one more time. I'm going to cut off some man buns and beards. You do the pronounce check as Keck do you?

Food is always amazing. So tasty. They have a special everyday, which helps to keep things interesting. I love sandwiches though, so I could be biased. Licensed.

I can never get enough of this place. While there are plenty of great places to get sandwiches in the city, Meat & Bread just always seems a cut above. Maybe it's their house-made bread, or the perfectly cooked meat, or the great environment, or their house-made condiments, or something I don't even know. Either way, I have always and will continue to recommend going here to anyone and everyone I can

Their concise menu with tasty options made it easy to decide what to eat. This place definitely lives up to its name; simple but well executed. The sandwiches were more than just meat and bread, but weren't over-the-top. The ingredients are fresh, and as far as I could tell, everything is cooked in-house. Definitely recommend.
