  This review is for myself and partner.
  
  We came in at around 9pm on a Sunday. There was a long line up, and the place seems pretty popular.
  
  The gelato is good, and they have a lot of different flavours. My partner ordered one scoop of the vanilla bean with brownie, and a scoop of the hedgehog in a waffle cone for about $8. He really liked it, but unfortunately, the cone broke in half while we were walking back to the skytrain station and all the ice-cream fell on the floor. Maybe they need to make stronger cones, or make sure the cone is not faulty before using it for a customer.
  
  I wanted to order a scoop of the tiramisu, but they didn't have any. I was really glad to see that they sell it in containers which are stored in their freezer for about $8. It would have been nice if the gelato scooping people knew about it to tell me, since the person helping me just shrugged in apology when I asked about it. However, I'm still glad I found it in the end. I also got the hedgehog flavoured ice-cream bar for about $4. It's not bad, but I personally think the scooped gelato tastes way better than the bar.

  Very popular place with locals. The gelatos were little too sweet for me but good selection of flavours. It offers inside and outside chairs

  Don't mind some people's reviews that complain this isnt real ice cream. As the owner stated canada has regulations as to what can be called "ice cream". Ive had mario's gelati since I was a kid and my whole family loves this place. They have excellent gelato in many flavours. Seriously.. they are even called GELATO not ice cream.

  I always liked Mario's because they had my favourite flavour which no one ever has- spumoni. But i saw a container in their freezer and took a look at the ingredients. First, why is it called dairy dessert?? The first ingredient is "milk ingredients." What is that? Ice cream has to have milk and cream. Gelato, I'm not sure, butthat's vague. Artificial colours and flavours as well. The worst was in the list of fruit, the first thing listed was rutabaga!! I'm not making this up. Why is there a member of the cabbage family in my gelato??? If you care about ingredients and real gelato, go to Earnest or Rain or Shine.

  Wide variety of choices. Loved the gelato. $7.50 for 2 scoops, and well worth it.
