Went on a Tuesday for a language exchange event on the 2nd floor, they have a nice patio. I liked the atmosphere and the location is really near Davisville station.
Staff seems like they would like to be elsewhere and disappear for great lengths of time for no good reason. Overpriced Downer atmosphere. Lived in the hood for 20+ years and this place always reminds me why I avoid drinking locally.
Food is tasty, regular bar fare. Come here if you wanna watch the game with friends and family, it can get rowdy. There is an upper floor where groups can quite comfortably gather. I believe there is a language exchange club actually that meets regularly here. Portions are decent for the price.
I only come here for the Mundolingo meetup on Tuesdays, so this is a review for that. It's far too crowded every time. Granted there's only so much you can do, but they have one bartender for 100s of people which is kind of ridiculous.
They should also consider rearranging the patio furniture for more standing room, as it gets shoulder to shoulder out there. Overall I think they should be doing more given the size of the group.
The guy with the karaoke is a disaster, 3 tables since 9 pm we asked for 5 songs we had to wait 4 hrs before getting a song. Totally an illiterate at computers and life, do not come here for karaoke. Food and waitress are good but the karaoke is a freaking disaster, Tino will put you to sleep.
Love how cold the pints are!! Great service too..! Klae was an awesome server and gave us great recommendations on food it was on point
Very grumpy owner. Usually there are specials when asked owner responds saying no specials if you like drink or get out. I am surprised at this attitude in a city like Toronto.
Edit : firstly I like kramers. Food is good and staff are great.
Secondly you seem to have mixed me. Perhaps you have been rude to multiple people. And also this is not the first time I have seen you being rude.
You can do all you want you can charge 200$ for a beer. You can put up a wall outside. Don't generalize by saying nobody tips. I have always tipped because of the lovely service provided by Chris and Kate. It's definitely not a must to provide specials I agree and I guess you know what's best for your business. But being polite and courteous doesn't cost anything. If it's something you have offered in the past you should communicate it. If you have a problem with participants not tipping inform them or the organizers to mention it. Asking someone to get out just for asking for specials is trivial.
If you're looking for a pretty generic bar with great bar food and a great beer selection, this is it. It's not a restaurant, it's not a dive, it's not fancy. Any time you're looking for a drink and eats after work it's the easy choice.
Try it, if you're considering it I doubt you'll regret it.
A local watering hole with pretty good value for money. The food is decent, if fairly typical pub food.
The lone, rude server refused service to one of the three friends in my party and continued to serve the rest of us without explanation. Then proceeded to kick out the entire group when I gave my thirsty friend a sip of my beer. Finally, as some sort of failed attempt at a power trip, the same server physically stood in the way of the door forcing one my friends to shove past her.
All this in the span of 10 minutes on my first visit to Kramer's. I've since told every local friend I have to avoid this place at all costs. What a horrible experience. I'd give it a 0 rating if that was at all possible.
Kramer''s Bar & Grill is the place to be. I have been visiting this place for more that 3 years now and I find it very welcoming, accommodating, friendly and very respectful. I have tried all the food on the menu. Everything is very tasty and hot when it comes on the table, that means the food is freshly prepared. I love all the menu they serve, but my favourite one is the chicken wings!!! Even writing about it now makes my mouth watering!!! Mmmmm. ..
Took them 40 minutes to give me a special of the day burger order (I requested no changes or add-ons). at the 30 minute mark when I asked about my order, I was told it will be 2 minutes, 10 minutes later my food arrives.
Great servers, great events, but unfortunately this will be my last visit.
Kitchen staff: Get your act together.
