Hard to find due to construction but you'll see signs to show you location once you are near the restaurant.

As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are greeted with delicious pastries that will suck your soul away. Don't stay too long or you'll be tempted to buy some.

We wisked through to the seating area and ordered the lunch special which includes a soup and a main. I choose the chicken matzo and pastrami sandwich. I've never had a matzo and don't know what it is, but it tasted like bread ish. The soup was pretty salty. Not my most favourite soup but others disagree with me based on the reviews below.

Pastrami sandwich was jam packed with pastrami obviously. Fine taste of meat and bread. Simply delicious and hard to mess up. I skipped on the coleslaw that was included as I'm not a big fan of it.

Overall, for $9.95, would come back to try other items on the menu.

Very hard to reach/ find because of the infernal stupid Metrolinx Subway construction.
I had kishka and gravy,it was ok.
However, the Baby Beef Sandwich was very dry and had no flavor at all.
    Service is ok.
Quality has slipped up a lot.
Sad,I used to love going to Yitz's for dinner.
As a deli in Toronto,Yitz's is what I would call "Blah!!" It's still ok,but a shadow of what it once was.

I love that it's still around despite all the insane Eglinton LRT construction going on around it so delicious, one huge family memory that is being passed down to another generation. Best corned beef around! And KISHKE!!!!

Do NOT buy Yitz's bread!!! You will get sucked in and become addicted and you will have a hard time moving out of the area. You have been forewarned

Excellent and authentic non kosher Jewish deli. When you walk in you feel like you've been transported back in time 40 years (in a good way) from the décor to the service a great experience.

As a native New Yorker and long time resident of Montreal, I know something about deli food, especially smoked meat and pastrami. Yitzs is as good as the best. DELICIOUS SMOKED MEAT! The other delis in Toronto are not even in the same league. If you want great smoked meat and pastrami, head to Yitzs. It's the ONLY serious game in town. I had about given up on Toronto for deli food. Now I don't have to move back to New York after ten years in Toronto.

No personal experience, but Google Maps should NOT be listing this under "Kosher restaurants Toronto". It's a Jewish deli but doesn't have Kosher supervision (i.e. compliance with Jewish dietary laws), nor does it purport to be Kosher to my knowledge. Google shouldn't be listing it; Jewish does not necessarily mean Kosher.
