Excellent massage by Salvatore. Staff is very friendly. It’s clean and the steam room is wonderful. Great experience!
Long over due but the bad taste in my mouth is still there. I went in 2016. I had the body exfoliation. The steam room was amazing and along with the reviews my hopes were high.
My attending was terrible, in a bad mood and had hands and gestures that were as limp as a dead fish. I asked her to adjust nicely and all I got was a sigh.
At around $200 in services one has the right to expect a terrific , luxurious experience. I mentioned my unsatisfaction to the front and asked for but never recieved follow up.
I accept my experience was not the norm.it could never possibly be.. but to this day I'm bothered by feeling like they snatched my money without an effort to have deserved any more than I would be charged in a China Town dive.
Hammam Spa is a very relaxing and comfortable environment. I recieved a full body massage, while very relaxing, I did not receive the pressure I normally expect even after asking multiple times to increase this. With that being said, my RMT was very professional and even gave me some tips on how to improve my mobility. The crown jewel of Hammam Spa is the steam room (co-ed). The steam room makes coming here definitely worth it! The tea room is a nice addition that offers a place to relax, read and have some small snacks. A nice addition here is that you can steam before your appointment and they will send someone to get you when it's time so you can just relax and not worry about missing your appointment.
I convinced my girlfriends to book an appointment with me at Hammam Spa on September 30th for shellac manicures based on another friend's recommendation. The nail techs who completed our services were friendly and our experience was enjoyable while we were there. However, one of my friend's nails chipped ONE DAY after she got them done (see photos attached). I believe her nail tech rushed the service since she started after us, but finished at the same time. I reached out to the salon that week TWICE by email which included these photos, plus I left a phone message explaining the situation and simply asking for someone to get in touch with me but no one ever did! What terrible customer service!! They should at least have the decency to get back to me. They obviously do not stand behind their quality of work or care about paying customers. DO NOT BOOK at this salon, or else you risk ending up disappointed with your service with no one to even attempt to mend the situation. I will gladly give my business to other salons who actually have integrity.
Phenomenal! Very clean, friendly, zen and a luxurious atmosphere to welcome your relaxation. The steam room is wonderful. I got the Detox Algae Wrap - my skin has never felt so amazing - and an Intensive Facial Peel. I'm glowing! My aesthetician (Tanya) was so lovely! She made my experience even better.
I go there often and love how clean and warm the place is! Love the staff and all of the RMTs are very skilled!
Best spa in the city. Hands down! Offers many services. Pleasant atmosphere and workers!
My go to place for massages. I love how it's an oasis in the middle of busy downtown Toronto. The complimentary steam room is great too. I highly recommend Vicky if you want your nails done. I don't know how she does it, but they look perfect!
The hammam steam room is beautiful and relaxing. It's dimly lit with decorative tiles and shifting colored light - and huge.
The massage was just okay. Not bad, not great. Was hoping for something a bit more relaxing but it was a bit fast moving and uncomfortable.
I highly recommend Toby in Hammam Spa - He gave me the best deep tissue massage I have ever had!!! I would definitely book with him again. This spa is a few minutes walk from my apartment and I have enjoyed both times I have visited. The steam room is very relaxing, but it's a pity there's not any other facilities to enjoy while there - In my opinion that's the only downside.
Stay away! The employees are rude and careless, overheard them talking about how some oil soaked towels caught fire from being improperly stored - not the kind of thing you expect from any prudent business.
I will not be going back. Staff was rude and dismissive. Very unprofessional. The prices are NOT worth the service you get. If you want a premium spa experience, this is not the place for you. There's no shortage of spas in Toronto, so skip this one.
One of my favourite spots for some quiet 'me' time. RMTs are amazing and love the steam room. My last shellac manicure was poorly done and peeled in a day though so won't go back for mani/pedi services but everything else is worth 5 stars.
This place is wonderful and luxurious. I had a traditional Turkish bath and the Dermalogica custom facial. The entire experience from beginning to end was great. The steam room is so thick with steam it's like you're swimming though the air. I'd never had a Turkish bath before and likely won't try it again as it's just an exfoliation/body wash and the price tag of $140 is a bit high for that but it was great to experience it none the less. The facial was $135 and also on the high side price wise but it was so nice. I would definitely do the latter again. I only rated it 4 stars because the prices are a touch to high overall, in my opinion, especially when you factor in tax and tip. Will definitely return.
I love this place! It's the main spa that I've been gooing to for the past 8 years. The facilities are clean, relaxing, and offers everything you need to enjoy your visit. The staff has always been friendly and great at what they do. I also love the co-ed steam room that's free for use with any service over $100. It's a great place to spend with your significant other.
