Granville Island Vets have been looking after our dog for over 10 years. We have had a few close calls with our dogs health and each time they have saved the day. Staff are very professional and caring.

We took our puppy here for his puppy checkups and vaccinations. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly and sent us home with a bunch of samples to get us through the thick of the puppy chewing phase. Our vet Dr. Rose gave us ample time to ask all of our "new parent" questions and gave us all the information we needed to decide what vaccinations were right for our puppy given his "lifestyle". She was very gentle with our puppy during his physical examination and he was completely at ease the whole time. And the price of our visits was much less than the first vet office that we visited (which is nice too).

We recently adopted two puppies & settled on Granville Island Pet Hospital for veterinary services as they are so well rated. Our experiences with the whole team have far exceeded our expectations. Special shoutout to Dr.Rose who may be one of the loveliest/most considerate vets on the planet.

This was my first visit to the hospital, and I was very impressed. The staff are friendly and the vet took his time to get to know both my new kitten and me. I had a terrible time at my old clinic. Granville Island is one I would recommend without hesitation. They are terrific, and they truly care about both their animal and human clients.

Amazing experience, no complaints. They're very organized and friendly and were able to fit us in for an x-ray promptly and then was very accommodating when I had to call back and reschedule to an earlier time. Dr. Thatcher is patient, kind, and gentle and is super positive and caring. Having just moved here, we were looking for a vet and am thrilled to have found a great one on the first try.

Update to this - it's been a year and we have consistently gotten great service from caring vets every time! Everyone on staff is helpful and accommodating. I called with a semi-emergency after they had already closed and the staff who answered still answered all of my questions and didn't try to rush me off the phone. She gave me advice and let me decide what I wanted to do, which was to ultimately wait until the morning and take my dog in first thing. If I ever move further away I'm going out of my way to come back to them.

Very glad that I found this clinic after moving from Victoria where we had the best vet in the city there (Dr. Nicky Parkinson). Found the best vet here (Dr. Bill Ignatio). Clean clinic, spacious, friendly and helpful staff, at least one excellent vet, I am sure the rest are also good, on-site parking, easy to find and get to. Very happy, no complaints.

Granville Island Veterinary Hospital year after year receives the award for best veterinary practice with good reason. My various cats and dogs have been patients there since the early nineties. The front desk staff are outstanding and always so pleasant. They are exceptional listeners and provide a calming atmosphere, empathy and sincere sympathy when sad occasions arise. There are enough vets there that if yours is off duty someone else will be there for you. They're open 7 days a week.
My vet Dr. Rose does not "pooh pooh" my holistic approach combining practicality and science. She emanates genuine caring for my two beloved dogs.

We've been going to Granville Island for over a decade. The doctors here are amazing and extremely empathetic to the varying needs of the clients. The front of house staff are excellent and always make the visits smooth and easy.

Friendly front desk staff and very understanding and cooperative veterinarian. You may pay a bit more than other places but the honest service you and your pet get is well worth it and it costs you less in the long run. Highly recommended!

Yesterday was our first visit and I couldn't have been more impressed.
Dr. Anna Wallace was absolutely fantastic with my very elderly dog. She was knowledgeable, gentle and really understanding of my big guys particular needs.
The front end staff was super friendly and efficient.
The clinic itself was clean, welcoming and had an upbeat vibe.
And to top off my already positive experience, my bill was less than what I'd imagined!
With my dog, that's pretty rare.
