We have been working with Dr. Shekan now for almost a year and he has treated probably 100+ dogs for us with great care. He has also performed several surgeries and the animals have always recovered well and become 100% again. We love this vet!

11-11-2017 - Exceptional service. The Doctor's medical advice, financial compassion and final bedside manner could not be superseded. That includes the consideration of other vets in the area. My dog is no longer suffering, due to their wisdom. My deepest thanks & hopes for prosperity!

Explained that I had to borrow the money for Cancer surgery. Told them not to do anything that would cost any additional fees. They left Staples in my baby and demand a 20$ fee to remove them. They sent the cancer away for additional testing and tell me I owe the 100$ for that. Amazon sells staple scissors for 18$ I can't afford either so they tell me they can't take out the Staples they left in her.

Literally the tech can't figure out measurement for flea medication. Says give 10% discount if come back the next day? Unable to do that and won't sell one that is already measured out ? Common sense says sell the one measured out because this is not my fault that something can't be measured

This is a terrible place. Ive finally felt compelled to share. We lost our cat and 5000$ here. I wanted to make a big deal but i was so fragile and my husband didnt want to make a scene. I still regret that experience all the time. While we were there a dog came in with a broken leg and he fasted the wrong leg. My cat came for a checkup because he seemed fine but wasnt eating much. My husband didn't even want to bring him in but i thought whats the harm. He told me that my cat was very sick and showed me his whitish ears. He said we had to do surgery and tubefeed him. I freaked and said ok whatever he needs. 2 surgeries, one lethargic, never the same kitty, faulty equipmentlots of kitty pain and then he died.
Literally the tube they put in his body had a hole in it and food was leaking into his belly so he died from sepsis or infection and I paid the price. I still do, biggest mistake !! Take care of your fur balls there are many better vets out there!

Had to bring my cat here because this place was the only one at the time to have a veterinarian in and I've honestly never experienced anything so horrifying before.
He can be very calm if treated properly but was tightly grabbed by his neck to the point where he was gasping for air exactly like a review I read!!! HIS TWO BACK PAWS WERE BLEEDING FROM FIGHTING BACK AND WAS TOLD THAT "IT'S OKAY" BUT STILL CANNOT JUMP OR RUN AFTER A FEW DAYS! JUST IMAGINE HOW ROUGHLY HE WAS TREATED TO REACT LIKE THAT! HIS EAR IS BRUISED! HIS WHISKERS WERE CUT OFF CLOSE TO HIS FACE AND WE WERE NOT TOLD ABOUT THIS UNTIL WE NOTICED IT BACK HOME! HOW THE HECK DID MY CAT GO IN WITH ONE SMALL INJURY AND LEAVE WITH MORE!
MY POOR BABY HAS LOST HIS CONFIDENT AND HIS HAPPY SELF.
THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO TRUST GIVEN AND NO APOLOGY FOR WHAT THEY DID TO MY CAT. WORST PLACE EVER.

After reading some comments I felt the need to share my experience from about 10 years ago with this place. They condemned my king Shepard to DEATH saying we wouldn't be able to afford his care anyways and might as well leave him there Needless to say, he was taken somewhere else and pulled through just fine.

Please use caution when taking your animal here with anything serious. I'm not normally one to rant like this, but there seems to be an issue here.

I came in with a sick kitten, and the staff were very considerate and helpful the whole time, I've never seen such effort put into helping not just the animal but the human. Thanks, Angel!

I'm not too sure I buy into some of the negative reviews posted, as I've had nothing but a great experience with Dr. Sekhon and Angel Animal Hospital and find it very hard to believe that some people were treated the way they indicate. We've been going there for years. His staff were so compassionate when we had to put our rottie down due to untreatable cancer, they really were as upset as I was and helped us through this difficult time. Some vets that I've dealt with in the past were all about the money, not here. They are very upfront as to what potential costs you are looking at, and they don't always suggest doing costly things until they are 100% certain what they are dealing with and that it will be effective. I highly highly highly recommend them. Pet care can be expensive sometimes, maybe that's why people are complaining, but Angel Animal Hospital has both yours and your pets interests at heart.

WARNING:IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PET DO NOT USE THIS VET!!!My Experience:I awoke to find my cat in distress.I brought him to this vet and thought it was a good choice at the time(mind you i was FREAKING OUT & wanted him helped yesterday!)I agreed to all the tests and found that he had crystals blocking his urine path.Phew.treatable."o.k. Doc. sign me up,whatever he needs"That turned out to be 3 days in care, draining the crystals while on antibiotics, quoted at approx $350.Simple enough right? There was only 1 other cat,i figured mine would receive the attention he needs. That should of been my first warning..there was only 1 other cat,as well as the girl who takes care of the animals more concerned with her boyfriend (she put someone on hold for 20 min. to talk to her friend on the phone then started complaining to me about her life & boyfriend).I came back to find my cat had been laying in his own urine for 3 days, nicks in his skin where he was shaved, shaking from cold. The girl said she "tried" cleaning him.Bull$h!t!!!He was literally dripping in urine.I normally would want to take a bat to someone who treats animals like this but i was more concerned with getting him home and comfortable. All this for the low,low price of $1000.Just a tad off the quote huh? They even tried telling me they were giving me a discount then immediately tried getting me to pay for their special food or else he would get crystals again and could die(which i did pay for since they scared me into it).It wasn't untill my cat was safe at home that i realized what they did. This is how vets take advantage of the over emotional state of the pet owner. Being a main coon it took days to clean the urine from him and to get him out of his state of shock.Lesson Learned.

FAIL..My dog would have died! ..I took my German Shepherd to this place when she became really poorly. she had diarrhea all the time, stopped eating and pretty much became a bone wreck. the 1st time the vet saw her it cost me $360 for the consultation, blood test and pooh sample. I got the results 2 days later when I called him. the next time we saw him, it coast me $475 for the same blood test,( Only difference being the kept her for 2 hours and took bloods before and after food) pooh sample. I called 2 days later (No Results) I called after the 3rd day when I did get the results and they came back with the same as the first. He had no idea what was wrong with her and wanted to do exploratory surgery quoting me $1,800. he offered no x-rays or ultra sound, my dog was on her last legs. after 2 and a half weeks we still new nothing and my dog was getting worsre.

I went to a vet in maple ridge suggested by a friend. after s set of blood work and 8 hours. $120 I had a diagnosis!! she has pancreatitis. which is now being treated with medication. she also has low B12. This vet told me had Angel Animal hospital done surgery she would have died on the table due to the poor condition she was in.

Please, please if you care about your animals and don't want them dead, DO NOT USE THIS VET!! he seems to no really interest in the animals, he runs the same tests over coasting more each time, and seems to have very little knowledge!

I am going to be seeking advise and will go to the authority's regarding this man. he should NOT be free to practice in this profession and strongly advise for the sake of your beloved fury family, DO NOT USE HIM.
