This is such an important service, there is no shortage of homeless people in need of palliative care. Compared to the general population, homeless people are four times more likely to have cancer; five times more likely to have heart disease and twenty-eight times more likely to have Hepatitis C.

Thank you all for joining us at our Annual General Meeting. It has been an amazing and very busy year. The recommendation, put forward by Coun. Kristyn Wong-Tam, encourages the city to explore the feasibility of providing free menstrual supplies to shelters, drop-in centres and other spaces catering to marginally-housed or homeless women, youth, and trans individuals.

What an amazing time we had with United Way Greater Toronto Women United members! They came to visit our Women's Bakery program and baked over 350 delicious cookies! These cookies will be available for sale today at 20 Palace Street from 2-5pm and all proceeds will fund a trip for the children who live in that building. Stop by!

The people working at this organization are very caring and I love that they are animal-friendly. A companion pet can be life-saving by providing a kind of therapy that a human just can't.
