So I worked for these guys doing local work for about 6 months. Being on the bottom of the totem pole they would sometimes ask me not to come in on slow days in the winter time. This happened one day where the dispatcher told me to stay home the next day so I did; that morning one of the managers (won't mention names) called me early morning asking me to come in. I didn't answer the phone as I was still sleeping. Later that day I got a call from Ray Brakkas telling me I'm fired. I had no problem with that, said good riddance and was on my way. The part that bothers me and I will be forced to take action is that when the next company I got hired with told me when they called for a reference Ray told them a bunch of negative feedback about me and said I'm quote "I wouldn't hire him if I were you" luckily the company gave me the benefit of the doubt because I had all other great references and driving but they did tell me about the negative feedback from Forbes and it explained why many other interviews which went well and lead to reference calls never got back to me after that.

I have never worked for FH but know that never once has a FH driver said anything negative about the company when I asked. If I ever get back in to OTR I will try FH for sure!!

I worked there for over 4 years liked my time there for the most part . Butted heads with dispatch and in regards to management left on a sour note . Not sure if they've changed much but at least they seem to be taking more pride in keeping fleet washed! When I was there it's was far cry to see vehicles looking half decent
