After spending a night in this hotel and paying the room with a debit card at the checkout date, 2 days later, (since they ask to take the print of the credit card for the damage deposit), you discover that you have, on top of the debit card amount paid, 2 times the fee of the room taken out of your credit card. That means 3 times the room paid + damage deposit. It's a bit much not to be worried, at least for me Not for them apparently Do you think that you can just call and get the chance to explain your situation to someone without being cut 3 times off so that you never have the chance to explain the whole situation? Do you think that the manager, driving to the place will receive you with respect and an apology? (I only by the phone could get to the damage deposit and 1 fee taking out of my credit card, the employee won't let me explain that the next day, the fee was again taken from my account. When I asked her not to cut me off again after 3 times, she raised her voice, so I raised mine saying that I wanted to talk to her manager) Keep dreaming of 'normal services' I got out of the place with the angry manager (manager? really?) saying to me that she can't do anything. Just go home and wait to see what your banking account will show you in a few days or so??? She only could provide me after I insisted deeply a document of 1 fee refunded I've got to wait and see for the other one provided that the damage deposit was not debited truly neither. Wow!!! I don't blame anymore the employee for the poor service she gave me over the phone: The whole place is really sad and smelling a disrespectful attitude toward the customers No ethic whatsoever!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY OVER THERE. RUDE STAFF AND RUDE MANAGER. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
I booked a room for 2 nights and after checked in (Oct-31-2017), I realized that the room does not satisfy me, I talked to the host to change the room. The night person whose name was Joseph, was so rude and impolite. I never seen such an impolite person in my life. I asked him to give me the manager's phone number and he gave me the hotel visit card and he did not even provide me a phone to talk to manager. I did not have a phone and he told me you should go outside and find a phone outside.
He just keep saying " GO AHEAD " . I managed to find a phone outside and called the line and I was surprised that Joseph was the only person who answered the phone that night. He was playing with me. I had to stay that night and wait for the next day to talk to manager. The reason that I chose this place because I stayed 11 nights in 2012 in this hotel and at that time I received a good customer service, When I explained this to Joseph he told me that ""you are LYING because there is no record of you "". I showed him the receipt that I had since 2012 and he even did not apologize. The next day I talked to "" Keri Perreault"" who was the guest service manager and she was so aggressive and rude and her behaviour was the same as Joseph that I decided to check out. Nobody knows the job over there. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY OVER THERE. Just on the opposite side of this place I went to HAMPTON , and I payed 20 bucks more and I received a decent customer service that you can not compare it with Econolodge

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Staff and also managers do not know the job. Very rude and unprofessional. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, just pay 20 bucks more and enjoy the other hotels in the same area.

We got a suite which was fully equipped. The heaters were full blown so that we had to turn the AC on.. breakfast is on low side. And make sure you get there before 10 cause they will collect everything before u know it.

We had phoned in advance, because we knew it would be very busy, to ask about guest parking and was reassured over the phone that it would not be a problem to park there with someone who was staying as long as the we registered the second vehicle and did not stay overnight. Once we got there, we were told very rudely that we could not park a guest there, even though they had signs on the door saying we could, and we should go to another hotel. Luckily one young gentleman went above and beyond to find us parking. Unfortunately the rudeness of other staff, and telling us to go to another hotel, has made me want to do just that.

For this price, it's a good hotel. It does some quirks though. The breakfast is minimal and our room has a wet carpet, but I didn't mind that. The good thing is the staffs are very friendly and has good wi-fi.

TL;DR A good hotel for the price.

We stayed in the tower in a king bed room for one night. The room was clean, large, and excellent value. The room was quiet despite there being a group. The staff were nice to deal with and the continental breakfast was standard and decent. We would stay here again.

I've stayed at this location before. But unfortunately will never again. Due to a booking mistake I had booked for a wrong date and realized immediately after and called the hotel. At first they said they can't cancel because only the website I booked through can. I called the other website and they say only the hotel can. They told me to call back Monday and speak to the manager. On Monday the manager pretty much said that I will have to pay for a new rate which is more expensive for my dates and there will be no cancellation. They are not in the business for the customers. They are in it for greed. I hope they face a problem in their life where they make an honest mistake and no one is willing to help them. I travel often to calgary often twice in a month but will never return to this hotel again.

Nice for the price. There are hotels that have nicer amenities, newer amenities, but you pay for them.

Very basic hotel, okay for one night but lacks perks and refinement. Best for people on a budget, but even then you can put in an extra $20 from their most premium room and get a better experience at a mid-tier room in a better chain

Looked amazing. But when we got there we were told they were still cleaning the rooms. We waited patiently for an hour but nothing. They helped people who got there way after is and there were many of them in a group. Poor service. Cancelled after waiting to be helped. Went to another hotel. Poor service. Unorganized.

Unfortunately not good. I was buying based on price, which with hotels is often a mistake (last time I do that). Even so, this should have been a 1-star motel, not even considered a hotel. First of all, the guys at the counter were from overseas and had poor English. There system was down so they had to manually look up my order, while others who were standing in line had to be turned away if they hadn't pre-paid. When they finally got through the confusion and assigned me a room, I was disappointed to see that the section they put me in was only accessible from outside. The floors were worn and the bedding rough and uncomfortable. But worse was the fact that the East-Indian company that owns and operates this facility used residential exterior doors on this part of the building which had window panes in the top. They had glued on panels of construction-paper (cut by hand) over these panels, but still a tremendous amount of light gets through them at night, since they have lots of lighting operating in and around the porch. This was pretty annoying and I was able to rig something up to partly block this, and also turned around so I was facing away from them. And since these aren't commercial doors, the construction company made other unauthorized modifications to them, drilling through in various areas to attach components. In addition, this side of their building is near the C-train tracks, so you could that coming by and shaking things up ever so often.

And to top it off all, I strongly suspect that they were complicit in committing fraud. How? Well they also asked for a $100 deposit on one of my credit cards, so I gave them my BMO MasterCard. This was fine and the deposit was refunded, but I believe that they either intentionally or unknowingly captured my card # and sent it to some fraudsters who rant through a couple small test transactions (meals at Olive Garden in different cities in California). It makes sense that they did it, as I haven't had fraud on this card before and they were the sleaziest merchants I have dealt with in the recent past. So either their system was hacked to capture credit card data unbeknown to them, or more likely they were taking a cut of the action!
