Had a really great time here with my cousin at the buffet. They have a huge variety and it was all very delicious. We both loved the deserts the most and ate till we were stuffed. Will definetly be returning here again.

Great Indian dinner buffet. Evey type of curry or Indian dish you could want, and hot and fresh. Highlights includes authentic butter chicken, and the spinach Palak paneer. The made to order naan was fantastic, although it's unfortunate there was an extra charge. The cherry on top of the meal was the selection of ice cream for dessert. Service was fantastic and all of the staff was friendly and courteous.

Perhaps the most consistent Indian cuisine restaurant in Winnipeg. Their food quality and service is among the best. I have seen many other Indian restaurants start with good taste, but they all go down on quality.
East India Company stands above all!

Food would be rated 6 stars (if possible on this scale). Service would be a 2, which evens out to a 4. Some of the best Indian food in the city, which says a lot considering that the other restaurants of similar style are also highly regarded. We were there around 5 pm and it became packed around 6. So much so that it was difficult to move around the entrance and pay afterwards. Buffet was the largest Indian food type that I have been to in the city with tons of choices and unique dishes. I would go back.

    So delicious.
    Excellent service and ownership.

The buffet is extremely good, a helpfull tip to truly appreciate the flavours is a wine or simply cucumbers (at salad bar) during the meal to cleanse the palate.
The chicken is coal fire cooked and the spices will tell you its purely traditional cooking.
    Highly recommend.

Worst EXPERIENCE in my life. Was forced to pay and leave after 30 minutes, I did not even ask for the bill. Even worse, the waiter took the plate while I was still eating ,I was in the middle of cutting my food. And the owner was on the phone the whole time when trying to cash me out, she just pointed to the debit machine. Never have I ever been so disrespected in my life. Food super salty super spicy and I am an Indian i can take spicy., horrible don't even think about going to this place. Can't go lower than 1 star unfortunately

I'm not one for spicy foods, but there was lots of options on all scales. I feel I was lucky in that I went with someone who is very knowledgeable on east Indian dishes. . But overall - delicious !

The restaurant is family owned and this shows in unparalleled customer care; the manager knows many of the restaurant's clients and remembered me after years of being away. The food is delicious and the options are many (the spinach paneer is my favourite). The servers are top notch and still dress in the classic white dress shirt and tie and black vest. I also really enjoy the ambience of this restaurant. It is rare that you have the opportunity to enjoy a terrific, authentic meal surrounded by soft, authentic music and breathtaking, traditional pieces of art. I highly recommend eating yourself full here.

Had a function there. The staff totally nailed the arrangements. And we were taken care of adequately. The food is fresh unlike other buffet in city. Would recommend.

Consistently tasty food. Best Indian food place in town! I have come here dozens of times in the last couple years and I always look forward to certain buffet dishes like the mung bean salad, crab in mustard sauce, lamb curry, butter chicken To name a few.

This is my favorite restaurants for Indian Cuisine in Winnipeg. I strongly recommend the buffet taking just a little bit of each thing that looks good on your first visit to see what you like. The selection changes but some of the popular dishes like butter Chicken have always been available when I’ve gone.
While it can get fairly busy and the buffet line can be a bit crowded at times in my opinion it’s well worth the patience and crowding for the excellent food. My experiences have largely been at supper, I have heard that sometimes lunch is a bit chaotic though my own infrequent lunch experiences were all excellent.
The service is outstanding. Even at its busiest I’ve always felt every effort is made to accommodate me as soon as possible. I only recall one service problem in 20 years and as it was handled by one of the owners so well I can’t even remember what my specific complaint was. I do remember it was taken seriously and resolved quickly and well.
The only specific recommendation is if you really appreciate Indian Cuisine skip the beef dishes. It should be no surprise that from a culture that did not historically eat beef that they are not the best of the available dishes in my opinion.

The absolute best Indian food in the city, bar none! Our favourite time to go is for the Sunday brunch time buffet. So many choices, flavourful and range from mild to super spicy, both vegetarian and meat dishes. The best!!!
