We brought our rabbit to this vet on Sunday night after 11pm in crisis. Staff were incredible, compassionate, and able to save the little guy's life (even though our arrival meant we were at the clinic well passed closing time). Im extremely thankful for all the help and highly recommend this clinic to anybody seeking care for their sick animal.

If you are looking for unbeatable customer service and knowledgeable, friendly, trustworthy staff then I highly recommend this clinic. My cat ended up sick back in February and unfortunately passed away last month. On more than one occasion I had to bring him in AFTER 10:30pm for an emergency. They are open til 12 and never EVER have they turned me down. They broke down exactly what needed to be done in a very informative way so I understood the cost and the reasoning for each procedure. They also educated me on pet insurance, which i see the value in now. Every day my cat was in their hospital Dr. Gigi took the time to call me with an update. Dr Gigi was incredibly pleasant, professional and understanding. I cannot thank everyone enough for all the time, love and generosity that went into taking care of my cat. I'd also like to highlight the impeccable service from the people who work at the desk in front. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone reading!!!

Sad place for animals. I got there with a case for my cat with a suspicion of urinary trait infection. After a $ 600 battery of exams (including a non requested $100 anesthetic only to perform the x-ray), the suspicion turned to bladder stone, with something quite odd as the main solution for it: a surgery. The estimate for the crystals removal on my cat was $ 2000, which astonished me, and even more when I noticed the obvious dietary dissolving of the stone was briefly mentioned. The fact the stone is an oxalate or struvite strongly determines whether surgery is the way (that was clarified) but the fact that this method was pushed right away from the beginning seemed quite odd. Reading the other reviews here, now it makes sense, doctors there may or may not be a money grabbers but they were indeed doing their job well as employees trying to push the most expensive method down our throats. No real follow ups have been given since we've decided to try the diet to dissolve the stone and every medication we needed is just so freaking pricey. They try to push and charge for every single bit. Do not recommend this place and they charge the oxygen you breathe if they could. Never again I am coming back here, vets in my country love animals, at least for the most part, these will reap you off.

Great vet with really good hours (open super late) and WONDERFUL staff. They were able to fit me in immediately when I had an emergency situation with my cat and have been wonderful for followups and for treating him. I would especially recommend Dr Steede, she was so friendly and remembered all the details about my cat on subsequent visits.

Would not refill a prescription for a dog ear infection that happens yearly for us, without scheduling an appointment first. Essentially a money grab tactic, but luckily we have another vet who is understanding and will refill when needed, rather than try to just rack up appointment money.

Never again. This place is the reason I don't trust vets. Told me a price over the phone which I re-confirmed at end of conversation, I specifically stated each and every service to be done and the price quoted and was told yes. Drove over 1 hour and paid for parking only to be told the price was DOUBLE what I was told on the phone. Then when I tried to get a resolution, was basically called a liar. Agreed finally to have the services done as it was an emergency & they agreed to bring down the price a little, but I was made to feel guilty that they were even willing to do that (you know, since I'm a liar and everything). Then they took my pet upstairs away from my supervision, which I have never seen at a vets office before. Finally teeth were trimmed on my guinea pig and trimmed too short and one tooth was longer than the other. She died about a week later after she kept trying to put food in her mouth but couldn't actually chew it with her teeth and she suffered a lot which tore me apart. In reading other reviews, people seem to be happy with services provided for their cats and dogs, but this vet also advertises that they specialize in treating small animals.. I would never bring any of my pets to this place ever again. Very very bad experience. Not even worth one star.

I never write reveiws but I had to write one after my experience tonight. Everyone that works here is wonderful. The vet who helped my pup was sweet and so helpful. My dog loved her as much as I did. Thanks Dr. Backx! And the receptionist (Tori) was so friendly and kept me deep in conversation, which helped me avoid high levels of anxiety while waiting for my pups x-rays. Overall, this team made a very unpleasant situation much more tolerable. We will be using this hospital for all of our future check ups.

I took my kitten in because of a dangerously high fever and she was very lethargic. The staff were so helpful and squeezed me in between appointments. Dr. Steede was amazing. She was so kind and explained everything in great detail. We had to keep her there over night on IV fluids and they updated me every couple of hours on my kitten's status, giving me peace of mind. She is home and happy, and yes it was definitely worth the money. Knowing your pet is in such great hands is the best feeling.

The staff here are super great whether I brought my cat or one of my rats. If they aren't able to help because their specialist vets aren't on site they can recommend alternative vets. The prices are reasonable and seem average for most vets.

Thank you to this clinicwill never forget the great service they have shown. The vet and receptionist were professional, sensitive, and caring, in trying to save the life of a young cat I brought that was unfortunately hit by a car, about 1.5 years ago. I still remember their compassion and sensitive demeanor, and how they tried hard to save her life and give her a chance. Although her condition was severe and as it became clear she was already passing, they showed respect and compassion to us which I will never forget and greatly appreciate. I am very impressed and happy to have found them, and have recommended them to other pet owners (esp. family and friends) who have been happy with the truly great care their pets have received.

I feel that they truly care about healing the animal, and are in this profession for the right reasons, which is important when it comes to finding and trusting a vet. I feel I am very lucky to have found them and know they will have another loyal customer once I adopt a dog in the near future.

I've had very positive interactions with every vet I've met here. They obviously care about your pet and their health. On top of great care they have very flexible hours and are open after office hours.

On Christmas Eve 2016, my cat Django fell ill with an emergency. There was a chance I could lose him to complications from a surgery he had, has two weeks prior. At downtown Toronto animal hospital not only did they do everything in their power to save my sweet boy, but they did it with nothing but love, compassion, and understanding, in spite of the fact that they were all working overtime through the holidays. I've never been so overjoyed with the experiences I had at a vets office. On the wall they have a sign that says, "where pets are family" and they completely live up to that idea. I highly recommend downtown Toronto animal hospital for any and all of your veterinary needs. 10/10 would visit again
