I have had so many items framed by Miriam - oil paintings, watercolour paintings, drawings, scarves, weavings, silkscreenings, posters, antique photos - and each time I am newly impressed by her incredible eye for colours and textures. This lady has a gift and I’m so grateful she found her calling and that our life paths intersected. Miriam has made art pieces even greater masterpieces over and over again. After a recent trip to Venice, I brought a piece of art in to Dorland Haight for framing. Miriam always does such an excellent job. Her artistic eye knows the right frames and mats to suggest so that you achieve the desired result. I am so pleased with the end product. But even if you don’t need one of their extensive lines of frames, a trip to Dorland Haight is like stepping into a treasure chest. The space is not too big but is so full of hundreds of beautiful things of all sizes and prices. You can find something to meet your needs for any gift giving occasion or any bare wall. A trip to Dorland Haight Gallery is always a pleasant adventure.

Miriam is truly a genius at knowing the best frame to enhance your artwork. I had a small black & white print of a deer in a wooded setting, and she suggested the right black frame, one with a small dentil molding, which echoes the leaf patterns.
I was equally delighted with the subtlety of the bronzy colour frame for a Christmas painting - it perfectly enhances the colours.

I have used Peter and Miriam's expertise for more than 2 decades. I have framing they did for me in the 1980's that still looks as good as the day they did it. The superior materials and special care they take with all their projects really shows in the work they do.

I have also purchased many pieces of original art in various mediums, from celebrated Russian artists and Chinese painters to local artists like Sarah Joncas. Peter has always been helpful in pointing out the exceptional quality in up-and-coming artists whose body of work has increased in value since I purchased them. I have purchased 2 bronze castings and 2 stained-glass Tiffany Reproduction lamps, at Peter's urging, that years later, I still adore. Peter has a real eye for quality and a sense of what I will enjoy.

Dorland-Haight Gallery has also done large format printing for me, for commercial work I do. They take exceptional care with colour rendering to ensure the output is just perfect. I have had prints dry-mounted for use at tradeshows or for camera backdrops. I have found the process to fast and of excellent quality.
