Love both of the Community shops. I live in the neighbourhood and stop by a few times a week and there is always new stock on the floor. Which makes it dangerous for my wallet but amazing for my closet.
Amazing shops! I love that they have two locations to satisfy different clothing needs, the frock shop for great fitting denim and silk shirts and the unisex shop for basics like tees and work wear. The staff are cute and friendly. I recommend this shop to friends visiting Vancouver and am myself a frequent shopper, good for my wardrobe and with their affordable prices not so bad for my wallet.
Fun collection of items. Cute shoppe. Rude and condescending shoppe clerk that ruined the experience. After waiting a bit for her to finish looking at her computer screen, she checked me out in silence, put my receipt in the bag, placed it away from me down the counter and told me my receipt was in the bag while looking at her computer screen again. In the future, I'll enjoy shopping where courteous people are. Not here.
I could've spent all day in here. A great selection of clothes at great prices
I really like this store for the cause they serve and the fact that they sell items made of natural fiber (wool, silk, cotton, linen) and one-of-a-kind vintage clothing. The only draw back is that a number of items have holes, stains, and tears, so look closely at them, before you make a purchase.
From cozy/vintage to hipster/modern, the new space is larger (deeper), brighter, and more open (high ceilings). In addition to vintage items, they've expanded their in-house offering with locally made, hand-crafted merchandise such as aprons, wallets, tote bags, and pillows which are made, I believe, in a back of house workshop.
Community employs women from the DTES and benefits the PHS Community Service Society—all the more reason to support them.
This place has all kinds of hidden gems! Plus they're supporting a good cause.
Great store. They had what I just needed.
A very nice atmosphere and store design, great collection and fair prices! Unfortunately, because I either end up not knowing what not to buy or buying too much and ending up spending more money than I wanted, but still, one of my favorite if not THE favorite clothing stores in Vancouver!
Pretty bad first impression here today. There's some ok stuff in there and we actually bought a coat for my boyfriend. Too bad the dark haired resentful hipster there was very rude and cranky. Honestly made me want to throw the coat at her face. Not going back any time soon. Also prices aren't very thrifty. More on the higher side.
