PARTY STORE!!!! Beware you need an appointment for balloons! Nowhere does it say that. I arrived on the day of the child's party thinking I would get a really fun unicorn balloon bouquet only to be told I needed an appointment. Went directly across the street to Thrifty s where they helped me immediately!
I went in for a few small items and found a kayak I wanted. I spoke with an employee in another department and they happily called someone to assist. They were there immediately. They offered to carry it out to the cash and when I got to the cash 2 young men were there and brought it outside to my car. Very good service and smiling faces from all. Very good shopping experience. Thanks for my new boat.
We went to pick up my moms chair and were quickly served we went to look for pails and shovels for my granddaughter there was not a selection only 1 pail! We also looked at dishes again not much of a selection! However everyone is quite friendly and you don't have to wear a mask
Good sales. Service is scant at times, but seems that's the way it goes now. Always friendly when I find one!
Had everything I needed
The absolute worst experience with the owner of the store! Curry with a "C" as he explained.
I pulled up nearby the garage on a yellow line and ran inside to ask the auto center for some help. They had no one available so i ran in and bought a flat tire repair kit, only thing I needed was an air hose to finish up. The service guy said we don't have air you can use, you'll have to wait for an available mechanic Sigh* went out there to try and pull the screw out and the owner came out to approach me. Said get the f*** off the property cops are on their way. I said why in the hell are the cops coming, what did I do? He said Robert in the auto center told him I was harrassing him. In his defense I was agitated but I didn't question him, I only listened and acknowledged him.
Great help from a local business NOT!
I hope you run out of toilet paper Robert, some day real soon!
Robert who works in the parts and service department is absolutely useless. Told me that he couldn't order rims for me and that what I wanted I would not be able to find. Was extremely unhelpful and told him that I guess he didn't want to make a sale or my business. I walked through the parts and service door to buy a part and he clearly did not want to be helping me. Took my business elsewhere. Looks horrible on Canadian Tire.
I went in with a hissing tire. They got me in right away! Stephanie was great on the phone and booked me in. The guy at the counter had a great deal on tires and an alignment! Answered all my questions and even brought my old tire out to explain! I am a night shift worker and i was in and out in just over an hour! I will defenitely be going back!
Rode my motorcycle to Canadian tire today. As I walked in the door I was asked to leave my backpack at the front door. Told them I was not comfortable doing this and asked to speak to a manager. I also mentioned I had walked through that door 30 times this year with my backpack on and no one had ever stopped me. Richard the "manager" was at the desk and stared at me until I told him all I needed was a small lightbulb. I asked if someone could get me the bulb or escort me to get it and he said no. He was extremely condescending and rude as he told me this was the policy and if I didn't like it I could take my business elsewhere. Did the latter!
I hate posting a negative review, but this is honestly the worst Canadian Tire I’ve experienced. The merchandising of the store is bush league, it’s almost impossible to find staff for help (all of which seem to be high school kids who usually have no idea what products they sell), and they store skids of product in the aisles - often making it impossible to get to get to the items on the shelves. Even though I live in the westshore, I try to drive to the Hillside location whenever possible to avoid this disaster. I know many Canadian Tires are independently owned/operated, but headquarters really should visit this store to experience it first hand.
We got two bicycle from this store and there was an issue with one of the bikes so today we brought it back for repairs. While we were in the customer service line Brayden saw us and immediately came and talked to us and resolved our issue on the spot. I loved the service and I would highly recommend this store to everyone.
Thank you Brayden (sorry if misspelled) you went above as beyond for us and we are very grateful.
Terrible phone service. I called the parts in Langford bc and the phone rang for about 50 times then I hung up. I tried 3 more times no answer then called the service desk . The person said no problem I can see the person in the parts department right now and I will put the call through. They put the call through and no one answered once again. Spent 40 minutes of my life I will never get back. Business must be good not to answer a phone call ever !
I always go out of my way to shop at Canadian Tire instead of shopping at the global big box competition. My customer service expectation is low it is a transactional relationship. This must not be a locally owned and operated store as the customer service is on par with the worst I have encountered. Disappointed drove to Admirals Walk where they were able to meet my low customer service expectations.
I'm pretty satisfied with the suite manager at this location. Bought poulan chainsaw. Chain oil kept spilling out in the case. Spoke with a rep in hardware and he got in touch with the manager. Allowed me to purchase a husquavarna chainsaw instead and credited back for the poulan. Thanks guys. Kept a regular customer.
The layout of CT's are generally pretty similar, but this one seems to be the best on the island. Browsing the clearance/sales section usually results in great deals on needed items. The staff are very nice and helpful.
