I did my business diploma here and finished off my bachelor's degree. It changed my life for the better. Cool teachers, cool students and I still have many friends from my time. It was hard work, but fun and prepared me for the work force. Highly recommended!

I m first time student at BCIT in Burnaby and let me tell you, whatever your course cost Is, add additional 1000-3000$ for parking and tickets you going to get. If you are new student, using transit would be least stressful, if you have to drive, come 30 min earlier. So you can get familiar with parking, as it seams like from parking spaces available, they have more staff then students!
There is car2go and Evo parking, use it!
Parking is 5.60$ per day, do not forget to pay parking, tickets are 65-85$, and you will get one 100%. Read the signs posted on parking carefully, if parking is convenient and you are happy, check parking sign again, might be a trick!
I have no complaints about school, but parking is very stressful, because of it I missed my #1 assignment.
Google autonomous cars can't come soon enough, I hate IMPARK and all other parking companies, that give no service of any kind to humanity, but they collect our money, more then any other companies, that actually do have true services!
I had to vent, I hope this helps at least 1 student that has to drive to Burnaby campus.

Lots of options for courses. Full-time courses have set schedules and courses (anywhere from 4 to 8 a semester, depending on your program). Part-time is usually only offered at night and weekends but during summer, there's 5-day ones or 3-day-weekends or daytime. You can definitely take part-time as you're working, it's not too difficult to juggle but I recommend going to the downtown campus if you can. If you take full-time, be prepared to not have a social life (seriously). Courses here are intensive and hands-on. But you can definitely make friends easier here as they put you into sets/cohorts. You build a bond like no other with people here.

I'm still waiting to get into my program, but everytime I find a new problem because there is nobody in this institution who can give me enough information about the programs. I wonder why they have upgrading courses if the grades they give us is different than what they calculate our GPA with. I think they just don't care about anyone's life, unless someone is an international student. Education in Canada is a nasty business and I'm really tired of wasting my time and money on it.

Classes and teachers are top notch but the administration hasn't got a clue. To be a receivables rep you should have some logic and the ablility to do simple math. The woman we dealt with clearly had neither, was rude and not very responsive. The admin team enrolled my husband for the year he's already taken and achieved a high standing in, while he was at work (he's an apprenticeship program student) and then penalized us for their mistake! Took grocery money off our family table and then said 'well if you knew it was a mistake.' no professionalism here, no taking responsibility for the mistakes they made
I'm disappointed they would choose this route and do this to a family that is already facing the hardship of student loans and EI.

I received my degree at BCIT and I am proud to have survived it! This is a great school that is very focused on teaching and practical learning. It is extremely intense, and it was fantastic preparation for my career.

My experience here was great at first until my program head decided to change the html coding of an original email (And thus a minor portion of the email's contentin order to cover an embarrassing comment) AFTER I replied to the email. While not technically illegal, it displays sophistication on their part (Internal hacking? Colloboration of IT staff with school departments?).

I also suspect acts of privacy violations of personal information that I said to a BCIT doctor at the on-campus walk-in clinic.

Lovely Campus. Be ready to have no social life. Students do find jobs very easily after graduating. Professors are really committed to make the student experience better.
