The folks in here are super friendly and very knowledgeable. My number one shop for charts and second hand knowledge on kayaking destinations. Selection is small but VERY good quality. Prices aren't outrageous which also helps.

I took the "Learn to kayak complete series" from Ecomarine and it was 100% worth it. The complete series package will turn your kayaking trips totally around and give you a lot of confidence in your skills (spoken from a previously very weak sea kayaker). We learned about different types of sea kayaks, how to kayak and paddle properly, how to prepare for a day trip, how to rescue ourselves (and others!), and how to read charts/marine weather. Our class had some rotating instructors at the start which was a little disruptive, otherwise I would give this experience five stars. Our final instructor Rose Gardner was fabulous.

Super friendly staff! The online reservation and in-store process couldn't have been quicker and easier. We were on the water in no time. Such a unique way to see this beautiful city and the surrounding mountains!

Had a great paddle in a double kayak. The staff were knowledgeable and demonstrated how to get in and out of the kayaks while in the water. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun day. Book in advance to save yourself a kayak because they get busy in the afternoons.

The are open early on Sunday's making it a great location to paddle from. They have single or double kayaks and provide all the gear: paddle, life jacket, tow rope, and pump. The boat was in great condition and they helped us fit into it properly before heading out. They also made sure that the rudder worked well.
We did a 5 mile loop around the cove in about 70 minutes. Unfortunately they only rent the doubles for two hours minimum so still had to pay for 120 minutes. Was a good workout though and great urban scenery along the he way. It was calm and not much boat traffic in the morning. Wind and traffic pick up later in the day so early is the best time to go.
Great place to rent especially after a stop for breakfast in the market.response / report this review -

Affordable pricing. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I will definitely be going back and would recommend it to anyone who wants to rent a kayak for an afternoon.

I finally got my kayak from this store. Their staff are super nice and friendly, patient enough when helping customers, and more importantly they don't try to up sell . They give you exactly what you need. I had a great experience with a guy named Ben, he was so helpful.

We rented a double kayak for a couple hours, and paddled around False Creek. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the equipment was in good shape. We'd happily go again if we had time.
