A quaint hotel with absolutely the nicest people (Jess, Shawn, Amanda) have all been so helpful and friendly. Definitely would stay here again.
I've stayed at the Bow View Lodge twice, both times were lacking in a few ways. I'll give my feedback as room for improvement. I'm not personally a huge fan of being turned away from a parking lot or parkade that was offered to me when I checked in. For a budget hotel, it definately is great value, definately don't plan on spending the majority of your time here if you are staying in banff, it's much more enjoyable as a place to crash after a fun day downtown or touring nearby.
reasonable price, close to river. but if afford to pay more, another place recommended.
Location good by the river and only a good 5 minutes from town centre. Service very good, friendly staff willing to help and offer advice. Room very clean beds comfortable towels changed daily
Average hotel. Comfortable beds but that is about the extent of the amenities. Pricey for what you get. You can do better. There are some rooms with a view of the Bow River but not many of them.
Very good location. 5 minute walk to downtown Banff area. Nice river view. The only downside is some of the the amenities (fitness room, jacuzzi and pool) are actually located at the Bow Park Lodge. You have to cross to the other building to access them.
The hotel is right by the river and in a quieter location but very close to all the action. There were nice views of the mountains from the balcony. It's an older establishment but the price and location make it a great deal of you can get it.
+ Good location + Parking + Price + Balcony + Mini fridge + WiFi - Small Rooms - TV Channels very limited Staff was decent, not many frills. Overall : C+
Had a lovely stay. Rooms and washrooms clean and service was really good. Very helpful at the desk
Service is friendly, location is ideal for visiting banff and rooms are really clean
The rooms are a bit dated but the location a few blocks from the center of town was great. The pool, hot tub, fitness room, and eucalyptus steam room all are located in the lodge next door. They are very nice but a bit inconvenient to get to as you have to walk across the parking lot, then through a parking garage, and then go up an elevator. All in all we knew what to expect and enjoyed our stay. Would not recommend for people looking for a modern resort feel but if you don't mind older rooms and a bit of a hike to the amenities then the Bow View Lodge will suit you fine.
Location is excellent, especially if you get a river view room. Rooms are small but clean and have the basics. Furniture/decor is older but in decent shape - though the carpets are overdue for replacement. Good for the rate we paid; would come back.
