Good food, specious area, slow service, pricey Indian food with small portion
It was dinner time on a Saturday and the restaurant was empty but for one other couple. The place was not very clean - the little container on the table holding the sugar was absolutely filthy inside. I gave it to them on my way out and suggested they clean it. I was not able to enjoy the food - the appetizers were fried and there was a long hair inside one of mine. So firmly entrenched it was that the server actually held it up by the hair. They tried to make up for it but when you put those two things together, you start to realize why the place is empty and don't really have much of an appetite anymore. My dinner companion was more forgiving than I was, but in my defense I have a weaker stomach and maybe a higher standard.
I have nothing to say, but just that the place is no longer capable of running and managing the customers. It should be rather renovated and restarted.
Underrated restaurant. Really great food. Nice and warm hospitality. Find no reason to rate low. Both thumbs up👍🏼👍🏼
Amazing food, great environment. Great customer service.
good place to eat.. but not too good :)
The worst place I have eaten in years. Buffet was not stocked. They put tandoori chicken in butter sauce and put it out as we complained that there was just sauce out. I cannot believe they are still in business.
I dont even want to give one star. but there is no other option. If you ever want to taste the world worst Indian food then get here please. you will taste all kinds of terrible food. Even if they give for free please dont go here. The curries are like minimum 3 to 4 days old. you can clearly say that the rice was kept in fridge and brought back today. The gulab jamun are like tough balls. you will not be able to cut them. Then please dont drink the water. There is no hygiene . they place the ice cubes next to wash basin. The water that spilled out of basin are all over the ice. so please dont drink water with ice. finally atleast the jira. i mean sombu that tooo is salty. i dont know how they had ruined the jira.
Used to come here a lot 10-15 years ago, used to be great..fresh, tasty, quality Indian food. Slowly the quality of the food (meat, oiliness, etc) went downhill until it reached the low point of where it is now. I would never, ever go back here again unless by some miracle someone told me they had improved. There are other places in the neighbourhood with fresher, more carefully prepared Indian food for more modest prices.
Okay, so I appreciate I am not Indian, but I do love Indian food. So here is a white (Italian) guys opinion I live in Barrie and Indian food is very limited. By Barrie standards the food here wasn't bad. Mostly, the nan was fresh outbid the kitchen and was excellent. The rest of the food was good for $15. Yes I've had better but paid a lot more money for it.
