I stopped bringing my dog here this year after seven years. The receptionists/nurses are great but the vet pulled a stunt that left a sour taste in my mouth. If I could I would give 0 stars.

My dog had an ear infection this year, which the vet told me and prescribed medication and told me to make an appointment for the following week for a check up.

The following week I come back with my dog and he says he needs to prescribe a different medication because the first one is not working.
The second medication is not in a box, and the label is covered up with the prescription sticker and instructions. He charged me almost double what he charged me for the first medication.

When I got home I removed the prescription sticker to see what he had prescribed. Lo and behold it is the EXACT same medication he had prescribed a week earlier, same size, same everything but charged me twice as much AND deceived me.

I come back one last time and it turns out that there was a piece of cotton in my dog's ear this whole entire time, which is something he would have easily seen the first time. He could have easily pulled this piece of cotton out the first time, but he thought it better to charge me more money and potentially endanger my dog's health and potentially life.

I DO NOT recommend this vet at all.

I've been going to Bloor-Kipling Animal Clinic for 14 years now. Dr Sohal and his team are great. I have two dogs and Dr Sohal has been treating them for as long as I've had them. I got one at 6-7 weeks old in 2003 and 12 weeks old in 2008. Dr Sohal is always very gentle. He's always done a great job and he doesn't overcharge. l've also recommended Bloor-Kipling animal clinic and everyone has always been very appreciative after they've gone and used his services. I have brought my dogs to other places in cases of emergency because we've always lived so far away. And I always regret it after I get the bill. Recently, my 9-year-old Pitbull/Boxer mix has gotten a skin issue. I've been going to Dr Sohal on and off for the past year and have spent $300 avg every 6-8 weeks on meds. And still haven't gotten an exact diagnosis. After scraping tests and blood tests. sooo unfortunately, I'm going to have to try another veterinary clinic. I was told that these skin issues happen sometimes & all that can be done is to manage the symptoms😳😟The service has always been great up until recently because I can't get a definite diagnosis. Although, I think I was saving a bit money going to Bloor-Kipling, I don't think I am anymore. I'm going to try for a second opinion & see what happens. If it turns out to be the same-no definite diagnosis then I'll change this rating to 5 stars instead of 4.

Fair Prices. Great Staff. I love the Veterinarians in this office, they are extremely professional and friendly, they genuinely care about your pet. They always took amazing care of my pup. I have never had any issues. The operations my dog has had have always gone off successfully, with no side effects or issues. This is a good team.

Small office. 1 patient room. Sometimes there is a bit of a wait time.but its not too bad.

The male doctor here just wants to prescribe things your pet doesn't need in order to get money from you and is actually scared of my dog.. my dog is literally the friendliest dog on this planet. this man needs to re evaluate his job description.

I have been a patient here for many yrs with my dogs..fair prices indeed!!and the place was so clean and sanatary.but not clean what so ever this visit, the doctors assistant was very unprofessional .she smelled very unclean with terrible body order. As well as cleaned my dogs wound without gloves on!!kissing my dog..the doctor on call took a stool sample from my dog without gloves on also, and left some stool on the table!! It was the worst experience I've had there..I'm hoping this professionalism will improve dramatically because of the good of the fair prices and the good experiences I've had in the past from a vet!clean needs to be looked at dramatically ,and alot more proffesionalism needs attention!!as well as the staff being a lot more compationate about how we feel about our pets and the cleanliness of the hospital..

Really negative experience here. The vet was incredibly inpatient and rough with my cat. They cut her nails really badly and made her bleed. They charged us astronomical prices both times we went and they're so called treatment really did nothing. Clinic was quite unsanitary. Had to go to another vet and begin treatment all over again adding to costs. Would not recommend this vet if you care about your pet. Only good? staff were nice to talk to on the phone.

Unwilling to bend with a financial plan. Looked down upon because I'm on Social Assistance. There View too bad so sad no money no help. Just employed with a new company, tried to arrange for a payment plan was figuratively spat on, at the thought of my request. Definitely would not recommend going here!!!!
Their idea of "for the better " is really mainly just about "the bottom dollar"
Definitely not the most compassionate people I've ever come across

(when you become desensitized to the reality of your job its likely time to stop)

This place gets a star and a half from me. It was my first time there I even booked an appointment for 3pm and ended up waiting an extra hour. I saw the vet around 4 instead. All I needed was to get my dog's glands express which only takes 5 or less minutes to do. A vet assistant could do a simple
Job like that. Anyhow I was satisfied how much they charge me,
if I went to Applewood veterinary hospital I would have been charged 63$ whereas here I paid 20, so thank you

The clinic is amazing and we have been going here since it first opened! Dr.sohal and his female partner are extremely respectful to the animal and the owners! They are very thorough!

Amazing vet assistance! This clinic has made the difference over the years of us visiting and we would not take our pets anywhere else!
