First of all, the 1 star reviews are rivals or have been paid. In my 20 plus years of bringing animals to vets this one made me very comfortable. He took 2 of my small dogs and charged me for the price of one (proves hes not after money) and he gave me a sample of really nice dog food for my pups (again, not after money). He was polite, professional and I really got the impression he cared more about my animals than my wallet. It's not often I feel that way at a vet. I highly recommend him and will continue to do so.

First visit at Tomken Rathburn Veterinary Clinic. Excellent front desk. Vet was very gentle with our puppy who was very itchy, diagnosed the issue right away and treated. The front desk called the next day to check if everything was alright. Great Care! All very caring and compassionate people. Will definitely recommend to anyone who needs a vet.

The most caring and loving Vet I have ever seen. He does not rush you through the visit, and takes time to discuss all avenues and options for treatments. He is available after hours too in case your pet is sick.prices are great and the staff is the best, I would never think of going anywhere else.

Honestly, don't listen to the good reviews. The vet is actually really rude, he also never knows what he's actually talking about. I own 3 dogs that I used to take here and eventually I began to catch on, he is extremely over priced. Never once have I gone in an have him treat me like a paying customer of his, very dry, rude, really bad attitude. He doesn't care about the animals you bring in, he always just gives first possible diagnosis he can think of without doing further testing which makes you have to come in multiple times and spend more money, and also have your pet taking longer to get better. The prices again, are ridiculously more priced than most other vets. Finally when I decided to leave I needed just a simple email of my vet records for my newest dog, which his receptionist said she would get to me. With 2 weeks of constant attitude over the phone like they were mad that I was transferring vets I finally had enough because I needed the records for my dogs appointment the next morning. When I began using the vet I'm at now because I had enough of having to book constant appointments to find out what was wrong with my dog, and having to spend more money time after time again my new vet tested, diagnosed, and gave me what was necessary to help with my dogs sickness, and after only one appointment was able to give me what I needed so my dog got better, and now he is perfectly fine.

This vet overall has a really bad attitude, seems quite inexperienced, and you can tell he doesn't really love what he is doing and only cares about the money.

I wouldn't recommend anybody be taking their pets here.

I've been coming here ever since I got my dog 4 years ago. The staff is so friendly and kind with the pets. Dr. Kothawala is very knowledgeable and so patient with my pug Ozzy! It's always a great experience when I go in.

Dr Kothawala is an amazing vet. He loves animals. The animals know it; their owners know it. He is highly intelligent, helpful, concerned, and goes the extra mile to ensure that animals (and their owners) get the attention they need. Thank you DOC, for everything you do. Worked here for 2 weeks. I ran for the hills!

He uses all-purpose cleaner, not germisyl or any other veterinary grade cleaners. Like come on? You purchased this at the dollar store, maybe walmart at best.

I have also seen him draw up vaccines, lay the needle down on the table, uncovered than insert that needle into the animal! Ew!

Not to mention, everytime he needs to diagnose an animal, he goes to books. Clearly he didn't get his degree by OVC, probably working illegally and got his schooling in some 3rd world country.

This vet is really great. I got my dog's estimate at minimum $800.00 (I'm sure $800-1200 after tax and "surprise fees" for a simple neuter). This Dr charged me $250 and made me aware of other options and medical work that should be done that would cost more but he never made me feel obligated or guilty about it. I ended up paying a little over $300 (great price and justified) and I felt like my animal was in the right hands. I only chose this place because of the great reviews and they were right. If you are reading this with any doubt, I highly recommend taking your fur babies here. I'm not sure why there are some bad reviews, but things seem to have changed a lot since then and I did not feel any negativity or guilt or pressure from this place. I have two very rare dogs and I feel like the Dr did not take advantage of this and charge me ridiculous amounts like the other places I called and checked around with. Thanks Doc! This will continue to be our vet of choice!

One word Amazing!!!!
This place is very clean and everyone, from the receptionist to the vet, is very professional.
It was a very good experience for us as new puppy owners. They gave a full tutorial on new dog ownership and treated are little Bella like a princess. So happy to have them as my primary vet.
