I have been so disappointed recently with the new vets on staff. The doctors we usually see have either left or only work a few hours a week. The last couple appointments ended with no resolution to my two pets' ailments. One is suffering with CKD. The other a skin problem of which the vet said I have no idea what the problem is but I'm sure it's not serious.
Can’t say enough good things! Beautiful, clean facility and my pup feels so at home she often falls asleep in the exam rooms :) Vets and vet techs always take care to answer questions and I’ve never felt rushed. Front desk staff and kind and pleasant and always helpful! We don’t even live nearby, and still are willing to make the drive across the city.
They don't care about your pet or about you. All they care about is that you will come back with your sick pet again and leave hundreds of dollars for a visit and some questionable prosedures..leaving your pet as sick as it was before the visit.. it's simply a money draining machine..
There is a reason that this veterinarian clinic is so highly rated by everyone it is top notch! Great facilities, friendly and caring staff and first class care.
I brought my jack Russell in to Queen west, describing to them that my dog was vomiting and and had daily severe diharia. The did a fecal test, said all clearso I waited. Brought him back a few weeks later sharing that the symptoms were the same they did another fecal test .all clear. This time they sent him home with antibiotics. In a period of two months my dog worsened we returned.the vet did yet another fecal test all clear. My dog was xrayed and they stated that he had an enlarge galbbladder and high protein in his urinethey were going to do a series of urine testsone they forgot about and when I called for the results the said sorry we didn't get the test completed. The gave me a credit for the test..but no results. They did another fecal examat this point my dog was only passing water so I scrapped some water from the ground and gave it to them. They said that's fine for a fecal test.? They then refered me to a gastrointestinal intestinal specialist. Dr Cruz. This doctor expained there was nothing wrong with my dogs galbbladder and he had no high protein in his urine to be concerned about . The did a colonoscopy and an endoscopy, and took a biopsy and found my dog had inflamotory bowel disease.
I had spent 1200.00 at queen west for a wrong diagnosis. My dog was also found to have hookworm. He had had it the whole two months Queen west was doing all of the fecal exams. When I asked the reception why it did not show up they said well we ask for three fecal samples for each exam as parisites don't always show up in one stool sample.they never asked for three stool samples on any of the fecal exams he was given. I would call with various minor questions concerning my dogs treatment with Dr Cruz, as he was relaying the information to Queen west. I was told the vet had no contact with Dr Cruz and in an abrupt manner that I was to stop calling, that they knew nothing about his treatment for inflanitory bowl disease . NOT TRUE. Dr Cruz updated them about everything and Queen west would call to let me know that Dr Cruz had called in mulpitle prescriptions for me to pick up from them for my dog.
I took my dog to Spadina vet for holistic treaten for my dogs inflanitory bowel disease. I did not switch vetsit was for a specific treatment. ..they took it upon themselves to deactivate my dog as a patient for general check ups. I recieved a curt phone call today asking if I had a permanent vet so that they could transfer his records. I had no intention of choosing another vet for general check ups.
The caller I assume was the administrator or owner not sure.stated in a transparent passive aggressive wording thatbecause I had called with a few valid concerns that I showed a no trust in their servicesand that it would be best to find another vet.in other words .I was a problematic pet owner and the wanted to pass my records off and be done with me.
Apparently my concern for my dogs well being even after trusting and following their miss diagnoses and neglected follow up made me too inconvenient.
Dr. Thind is one of THE most kind and compassionate vets I have ever come across. I'm really grateful I took my babies here!
Caring, proactive and friendly care for animals. Their new location looks great.
Poured $7k into our cat and left with a bag of ashes — and they had the audacity to attempt an upsell for a "nicer urn." While they are not responsible for his death, I do blame them for not delivering a professional opinion to put him down. If you have bags of money and want to pay for every single test for your furry friend, this place is for you. If you're looking for a professional opinion based on past experience; someone who is on your side, confident and not just looking to beef up the estimate, shop around.
When I bike by, I can't help but think that the new giant space and mid-century modern fireplace were paid for in part by my dead friend.
Worst vet experience. My dog was diagnosed with diabetes and I was advised to order insulin '24 to 48 hours in advance' of when I needed it. I ordered the insulin 48 hours in advance of when I needed it, following up the next day. I was told it wasn't there, fine. I followed up twice the following day and when I called the third time, apologizing for being annoying, I was told they ordered the syringes instead of the insulin. I'm glad someone checked my order to see what was really going on with it the last time I called. They put aside some other insulin and syringes for me to pick up instead (which I paid full price for, no discount given). For some reason I was also charged for four canisters of the original insulin order (even though I was told only one was on order for me) so I called for a credit and was told that would be fine. A week later when I called to follow up on the credit, I'm told I need to come in to do it. Would have been nice to know last week, you guys!
This vet cannot handle a modern situation with two dog owners who don't live together . Even though I was the one ordering and paying for the insulin, they would leave a message on my ex's voicemail, not mine. But they would call me back regarding other things so it was always inconsistent. When I complained about their constant miscommunication, the person on the phone said they can only have one main contact. I guess they don't need my business then!
Lastly, my dog had a bump on his leg that was told may be cancerous (after spending money on x-rays, biopsy and an ultrasound $$$$$$$) only to find the bump disappeared a few weeks later so it was likely due to an injury. I will never bring my dog here again.
***I truly appreciate your response and processing my credit over the phone. Since I've called repeatedly and left my name/number over and over and was paying for Dexter's bills I'm surprised no one mentioned to me that I was just an emergency contact and not a co-owner. I'm glad that will be sorted out shortly as well. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.***
This is the right place for us. I think it would be for anyone. Very professional, I've always been happy. Pets are family. So you drop whatever money necessary to help/fix/save. I've never felt cheated or swindled here. Like the vet, way more than my dogs.
Courteous staff and a nice facility. A bit pricy, but have been very satisfied with their care of our pets.
This is a very good clinic. The staff is very attentive and good at following up after each visit. I switched from another downtown clinic and would highly recommend them.
Great staff. Solid location.
Been taking both our cat and dog here since we rescued them.
Had an amazing experience yesterday when I brought in my two mini Dachshunds for the first time for vaccine and nail trim.
The staff was very friendly, the Veterinarians were amazingly friendly and sweet with my dogs and all came around to say hi and gush over my dogs.
And I have to say the prices are very decent and I was nicely surprised when they didn't charge me for nail trims while I had their visit.
Other vets in Toronto still charge you around $18 dollars when you have a visit! Which is crazy!
I highly recommend this place!
As I just moved in the area, I am glad I chose them!
