Great hotel! Very courteous staff, especially the staff at the breakfast buffet. Nice sized rooms with all the amenities. Nice kids pool area as well as another pool and hot tub adjoining the health club. I really enjoyed my stay and would return any time.

We had an excellent stay at the Port O Call with a large group of International high school students. We had a great experience with the facilities of the fitness centre and waterslide which accommodated over 100 students. The breakfast buffet was efficient and exceptional and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming to our group which included students from a dozen different countries. Thanks for a great experience. We would certainly come back for the value and the quality of the service as well as the great facilities.

Conveniently close to the airport with a shuttle service. The room was comfy and clean with a nice small balcony. The agents at the desk were great; one even called me by name and this was my first stay. The restaurant was cozy with great staff and the breakfast buffet was awesome. I'd stay here again for sure.

I attended a seminar here and I thought that the place was well kept. The seminar area was well lit and the internet was fast. The food they served was surprisingly good. It was quite tasty. Kudos to the chef and the people that prepared them. I would attend another seminar here if given a chance.

This an excellent hotel. I have stayed here off and on over the past 15 years. It has come a long way in the last five years. Its proximity to the airport is excellent and some of the older staff at the from desk (Moe) are fantastic. However some are not. Don't think of using the shuttle if you are not there at the exact times otherwise you wait and the younger staff member I dealt with really did not care. Would I stay there again. Only if the taxi fare and room charge did not exceed the price of the competition and there is a lot of competition.

Amazing staff, every encounter we had with any staff member whether it be a front desk person or a housekeeping person was a pleasant one. They always had a smile and a greeting. The rooms were super clean and very comfortable. The pools were awesome for families or couples. All around great place to stay. Highly recommend it.

This is a favorite hotel for our family when we visit Calgary. It actually has made Calgary a more frequent destination for us, as it provides a perfect venue for visiting friends and family - even hosting them! With its amazing pools, waterslides, full restaurant, lounge, fitness, coffee bar, racquetball courts, salon, our stay is never boring and we often have others come visit US! The staff are really what makes this place. They truly care that you enjoy your stay. Oh, and they offer free airport shuttle service, so if you need to make Calgary a stopover during your travels, this is a perfect option.

We booked this hotel based mostly on the water slides (and proximity to the airport) and we were not disappointed. The kids loved the slides and the pool. Jas, the pool/slide attendant, was great working direct the kids at the top of the slide. He even suggested a less crowded hot tub for me to enjoy while reading my book. No free breakfast, but since we had to leave at 5am, this was not an issue. Front desk gave us great advice for getting to the Stampede and other suggestions on things to do while in town. Would definitely stay here again.

When in Calgary, this is our hotel of choice. We stay there before and after hot vacations and meet family from out of town there for weekend visits. The hotel is being renovated so even though it has been around for years, it is awesome. The restaurants and bar/lounge are welcoming and our grand children love the pool and waterslide. The staff have always been excellent and accommodating.

We have tried a couple of other hotels when family have booked elsewhere, but have now convinced them that the Port O Call is where we all should be.

We attended Easter brunch at the Port O'Call. Their usual brunch is already very tasty; the Easter version kicked things up a notch. In addition to their usual fare, they had some fancier hot dishes, including a vegetarian wellington and some specially crusted/prepared meats. Their desserts, which are usually reasonable, but not exceptional, were tastier, fresher, and more enjoyable this time around. The brunch is always good value for price, regardless of season/holiday, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. All in all, it was a good experience, and one we will be repeating.

If you love friendly peoplea nice warm bed to sleep in and a great complimentary breakfast, stay at this hotel/water park! Staff is ready to assist and will make you feel good at being in their hotel. Water park for the kids. Golf for the adults just out the door and down the street. Airport close by. Downtown not too far away. I love this hotel!!

I would say by far this best western has been one of the better ones I have stayed at. Being that it is really close to the airport ( which is a bonus) it is quite quiet. The room service food is hands down the best I have ever had, a little pricey though but still one of the Best tasting I have had in my 30 years of travel. The breakfast spread is excellent. The staff polite and good at what they do. The underground parking is very tight for larger vehicles. Parking outside is good. We got the family room and is was laid out very nicely. Although the heater / humidified was clogged from dust. Only took a couple minutes to pull and clean them out.The pool I never got to try because of having a cold. It is in close proximity of a lot of good amenities. Will update as will be staying there again.
