Right off one of the main roads, and convenient if you're visiting the museum, stadium, multiplex, or athletic hall. Rooms are decent, as you'd expect. Noteworthy breakfast, everyone in my group had different things and all reviews were good.

This hotel was nicer than I remembered. Not sure if it has gone through some renovation or not. Lots parking and its price was very competitive. I have stayed in this same hotel at least 4-5 times before, and I will most likely stay here again if I stay in Port Alberni.

Hot tub closes at 7. That was irritating. Water tank blew, so no warm shower for one of two mornings. Mix up with billing. No conformation email that they said the would send. I had to call to confirm. Did not know it was that many things till I started writing. Bed was super cozy. Nice feeling hotel

Overnight guest. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Had dinner in Pub and all our meals were very good. Unfortunately the cafe didn't early enough on Sunday mornings for me to use it. Location was also good.

Great hotel! We booked as it was one of the most reasonably priced hotels downtown and we have not been disappointed! The rooms is lovely, pretty European decor, comfortable and large bed, good shower, plenty of room.

I've attended many events here and the staff is always friendly and attentive. I recently was here for a funeral service and I was once again impressed with the service and I tactfullness. If I had to describe them in one word it would be: Professional. I would definitely recommend holding your event here.

Friendly service and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Great shower although water pressure varied. Furnishings were a little worn. Only complaints would be the noise from the hallway, and we were not able to cool the room with the A/C. Opening the window did the trick. We were not there long enough to try out the café, lounge, pool, etc.

This place is great! The house keeping staff are ROCK STARS! I had my laundry back a day before expected (I dropped it off late, but got it same day!!)!!! Front desk staff are AMAZING! Every staff member I encountered was courteous, friendly, happy, knowledgeable, and professional. I highly recommend "The Barclay"!!!!!

I attended a public event in one of the ballrooms. Decor was nice, chairs were comfortable and the staff was friendly. The only thing I could suggest is a slightly better sound system, as it was hard to hear the person speaking at the mic occasionally.

This is my go too place to stay in Port Alberni. The room is clean and comfortable and the front desk staff is always friendly. I stay here often for work and would not hesitate to bring my family here.

Very accomodating (no pun intended) and supportive. Would have been completely happy but for some minor things I wanted. Like a coat hook or closet near door inside our room. A couple of hooks in the bathroom for used towels would have been good.
But staff were wonderful. Overall happy.response / report this review
