This is my favorite clinic of all time! Dr. Davidson and his staff are extremely thorough and helpful; they take the time to answer all my questions and carefully examine my pets. When my cat was diagnosed with heart disease my previous vet made me feel very insecure and I was left in the dark about what was happening. I switched to Dr. Davidson and he explained what my options were, what I can expect long term, and referred me to a specialist to get further diagnoses. He also helped me feel like I'm the ultimate decision maker which is a nice change from pushy vets who don't give you options. Anytime I call with questions they are ready with answers. I really appreciate this clinic! Y'all are the best!
good care but so was the care my dog received from Dr. Murray. Since he retired the prices seem to be twice what he charged
The vet staff are very friendly and helpful. I have called many times and been given suggestions over the phone. Its great to get tips of things to try for the health of your dog instead of just being told to "bring him in". The vets here are great as well, I have brought my dog to see Fraser (vet) for a few years now, even though I have moved out of the area.
Fraser has been so good on every level with my animal emergencies and issues ; He is kind, compassionate to clients emotions, patient with questions and concerns, and absolutely thorough with his care. I highly recommend him and having dealt with many other vets (for both big and small animals) throughout my life I can state with certainty he is absolutely great at his job!
Excellent care by Vets and Staff. Both Dr Davidson and Dr Kirkham are highly knowledgeable and caring. You could not ask for better care!
Absolutely love Dr Davidson! He's so thorough and kind and presents different options for treatment with no pressure, just solid advice and science. The follow up care is exemplary. I would (and do!) recommend Acadia Vet Clinic very highly.
(**And as an aside, some of the older negative reviews are NOT of Dr Davidson & his staff, but of the previous vet who owned the clinic.**)
Always a great and caring experience from Fraser and the team. Highly recommend them as they take the time to explain the process and are always very thorough to make sure the dogs are properly taken care of.
Always had a great experience here. Fraser is more than informative and caring for my pets. The staff are always pleasant and educated.
Doctor and Reception are very nice.
Doctor treated my dog very friendly, and clearly explained about her ears had awful inflammation.
No one could ask for a better vets & support staff than the ones at Acadia! I've seen both Dr. Fraser Davidson & Dr. Alex Kirkham and they are equally fabulous.
I have a hyper-overprotective and wary (of males especially) pitbull cross rescue that other local vets have immediately muzzled the second we walk in the exam room for a checkup and/or vaccinations. Not the vets at Acadia. They care enough to spend a minute to put my dog at ease . As a result, every visit to Acadia has gone without a hitch. We've seen Acadia vet Dr. Alex Kirkham for vaccinations and a bad dog bite as well as Dr. Fraser Davidson for more vaccinations and a REALLY bad & painful dog bite.
Acadia is extremely thorough, they don't rush you out and they are honest. I know that they are honest because when I brought my dog in for her second dog bite, she was in a lot of pain and couldn't put weight one her foot. Dr. Davidson could've told me that it was broken and that she needed xrays and I would've agreed as she couldn't even walk. Instead, he asked me a few questions to determine the likelyhood of her not being able to walk being attributed to infection or a broken bone. From my answers, he told me he thought that her lameness was due to the infection and and xray wasn't yet warranted. He was right. After 24hrs on antibiotics, she was walking around fine. 36hrs later, she was running.
AS FOR THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.those are all pertaining to the previous owner/vet, Dr. Murray.
It is hard to put into words how grateful I am to have found Dr. Fraser Davidson at Acadia Veterinary. My dog was recently diagnosed with an enlarged heart, or Cardiomyopathy and I was looking for someone who would give me options other than Euthanasia. Being a health clinic owner myself, I knew I needed an experienced vet who was willing to be open to other avenues of complimentary care. Dr. Fraser Davidson immediately impressed me, by understanding what we felt comfortable exploring and within two days brought my dog back from near death. Then over the next two months worked closely with me, staying in contact with me by phone and email, as I introduced other complimentary care options. His willingness to provide his experience, feedback and honesty was beyond my expectations. He demonstrated such a high degree of professionalism, support and caring along with his great staff that I have rarely come across even in human medicine. When the time came to make the difficult decision to send my sweet boy over the rainbow, again Dr. Fraser went above and beyond. They made his passing a gentle, respectful, and caring experience for the whole family, even down to the hand written condolence card I received in the mail today. Incredible care and Angels in their own right.
