Very great vibes and super welcoming! I'm a 3 month in white belt and a member at Toronto Bjj, and wanted to get some training in while visiting family in the area. Found you guys by looking up the affiliated gyms from the Jiu Jitsu for Life Team. The culture was great, with lots of quality instruction and I really appreciated all the higher belts taking time to explain small details and it seems like they genuinely care for your development (especially as a first time visiting practitioner). I loved the hour of rolling and open training to just get lots of rounds afterwards. We worked on sequencing arm bar from closed guard today as well as defending the position from the stack counter. Definitely a really great detail to pick up and to try to incorporate in my own game and development. Hope to visit more often!

I was interested in getting in shape and learning self defense at the same time. I tried a few different intro classes in different martial arts and was directed to consider Jiu Jitsu. As a woman in her 40’s, Jiu Jitsu was out of my comfort zone but I decided to give it a try. I found 905 BJJ in Aurora and signed up for the 30 day free trial. The instructors and fellow members have been amazing! They’ve made me feel comfortable and are always open to help you. I’ve been there 1 year now and I really enjoy the mental and physical combination of Jiu Jitsu. I’m so happy I found 905 BJJ!

Wrapping up my 30 day trial at 905BJJ. Its been fun so far with great instruction. I particular like the lessons about why I do certain movements instead of just doing them. I like sparring sessions to apply some of the skills we worked on in class. This is a very unique gym compared to what is currently avaliable in the area.

I was in the Aurora area and decided to try out 905 BJJ. I was met with a friendly training environment and knowledgeable instruction. There was a wide variety of skill level with no egos. I would highly recommend this martial arts academy to BJJ practitioners of all levels. I am two years into my Jiu Jitsu journey. Jiu-Jitsu for life.

John is the instructor, and he is a class act. Intelligent and knows how to connect with the students on an individual basis. I'm very lucky to have found his gym not only for his instruction but for the pool of talent that resides there. My sons are extremely fortunate and I look forward to trying it myself one day.
