The hotel was a delightful surprise for the quality of the common areas, namely the kitchen and rooftop terrace. We fixed breakfast each morning, and enjoyed both the rooftop and kitchen level terraces which offered excellent views of San Ignacio, and opportunities to meet other guests. The hotel is in a quiet area, in walkable distance to the town center (tour offices, shops, restaurants). The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with our questions. Our room was spacious, with two big beds, a small table with chairs, a small frig and a small amount of storage. There was a ceiling fan and also air conditioning. The beds were comfortable enough. The bathroom was a bit old-fashioned, but worked fine. I'd recommend Rainforest Haven Inn to anyone.

We just went for the hot sauce and rum tasting here. Our hosts were stellar. The hot sauce was righteous there was 30 sauces and jelly's to try. The rum tasting was excellent, good knowledge, history and flavors. A spectacular time.

A great traveler's hotel. No frills rooms but comfortable air conditioning and nice neighborhood. Very short walk to the "downtown" area.

AMAZING HOTEL! Great price and very comfortable! We were greeted with drinks, a tour, and cooling cloths to wipe our faces. Beds were comfortable, and accommodations were clean! We had a room with AC. Take the cooking class they offer!! It's only $35 US and so much fun.

The Inn is within walking distance to the San Ignacio town center, restaurants, local Mayan ruins, chocolate demonstration site, and Iguana Conservation Project. The rooms are big and clean with comfortable beds. Also, they are equipped with a mini-fridge, Wifi and cable that actually work! I used the kitchen to cook some meals and loved the rooftop, chill area in the evenings. It has hammocks, chairs and tables and provides a nice view of the town. Although I did not participate due to time constraints, the cooking classes offered in the main area, looked and smelled great. Best of all, the staff here was exceptionally friendly and informative. They arranged my trip to Tikal, Guatemala and transportation to Placencia, both of which were done very professionally. Although the name is a bit deceiving, as it is in town, not the rainforest, I highly recommend the Rainforest Haven Inn!!

The owner welcomed us with a drink and a tour of the hotel. The rooms were spacious and the rooftop lounge area has the best view of San Ignacio.
