Rather basic accommodations for a "resort". Bring your own shampoo. It is on a hill which brings 2 challenges: 1.hard to roll your luggage or even walk to/from your room 2. Noisy city center down the hill can be a problem at night especially since there is an opening between the organic leaf roof and the wall. Bring ear plugs too if you are a light sleeper. Staff however is friendly. Breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts anywhere especially if you like freshly made tortillas and beans. Walking distance to cahal pech site. They can call a taxi for anywhere else but there is usually a 10-minute wait. We ate dinner in their restaurant once, if you are not too tired explore other restaurants in town, you will probably find something better. Normally a 3-star place but considering its location and surrounding area 4 would be more fair.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at the resort. The staff were very friendly and service was fantastic. The restaraunt had great food. The lunch menu was the best. Best nachos I ever had. Prices were all reasonable. Oscar was an awesome bartender and Veronica the massage therapist was such a sweet lady and really was knowledgeable about health and pressure points. Oye room had a great view. Only thing I seen was the AC was a bit small to keep up during a warm day.

Great place. The cabanas were awesome. Good private space with an enclosed porch and hammock. Great pools. Restaurant had good food and drinks. The best part of this place was the viewAMAZING.

The hotel is really nice. There's a nice pool, with heated water, and also a restaurant, where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. I recommend the nachos and the coconut shrimp, that was very tasty! It's also very close to the Cahal Pech Mayan ruins, it's a 5 min walk. The only downside is that it's a bit far from downtown, you need to walk down a small hill, and it takes about 15 to min 20 to get there. But totally doable. You can always take a cab too.

It was OK. Very bumpy, unpaved, potholed and steep road up to the place. Staff friendly. Service a bit slow. Food OK. Some young and loud Americans at the bar. We only went once. Better places to eat. Eva's and The Mayan Prince are the best places.

Isolated location with very nice pool area and wonderful view. Steep climb up bad road to get there. Food okay and reasonably priced. Rooms leave much to be desired. Cleam but very basic and AC unit in our room was of questionable value. Hard pillows. We would have asked to move except temp outside was low 70's so temperature was tolerable. No elevator for upper floors but better view from balcony. Probably worthwhile if you will use pool area, if not come to bar for drink and view after visiting ruins just below hotel.

Excellent resort with a fantastic view of San Ignacio. It's only a short drive away from the downtown area which means you're able to do some local exploration. Beware of geckos, mosquitoes and moths in your cabin though, so prepare some insect repellant.

Nice property; friendly servers! Would have given it a 5 star except when we had to leave early to return home, they wouldn't refund us our money for the balance of the days we couldn't use. Stayed in one of their bungalows

If possible, reserve a cabana to have your own little hut. You'll be further from the main part of the hotel, but the isolation makes it fun and romantic. The true beauty about this hotel is the pool area, and elevated view overlooking the town. The restaurant served great food and the staff was great at coordinating and booking day trips. The only downside is it is rather expensive, and you are far enough above town, that it doesn't really make sense to walk into town and try the local restaurants, shopping and activities. Great central location between Guatemala and ATM tour.

Rooms were nice but the insect nets were not completely cover out hut so big gaps between walls and ceiling.
Food wasn't that great!
Reception staff all but one of them were useless in tourist advice.
Jacuzzi isn't hot.
Resort was otherwise pretty decent for the area. Amazing views.

I am not a resident at the resort itself, just came by during the day to swim with some friends. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the fact that locals and visitors can come and pay a small entrance fee to enjoy the pool and views here and just relax. Overall quite clean and offers amazing views as you can see. Would definitely recommend others in the area to stop by for a quick dip.

Everyone here was super friendly. I loved my stay. They arranged all of my tours with local guides and drivers. They even packed me a lunch and towel for my trip to ATM. I stayed in one of the cabins which include a hammock on the screened in front porch and overlooks town. It was so relaxing! I would definitely stay here again!

Great view. Cool pools (3), somewhat cold water, but all three pools are small. We were disappointed that the food (rice and beans and chicken) was not hot at all, barely classify as warm. That's my reason for only 3 stars.

I was there with my girlfriend and we LOVED this place! The food is delicious and the cabanas are nice. The best part about this place is the staff. They are super friendly and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was enjoyable. They even gave us roses on Valentine's day. Miss this place every day. Shout out to Ian and Bruce!

Have stayed here for 1-2 mo the every year for 4 years. They place is wonderful and the cabanas are great. Oscar is the best bartender you will ever find. Don't forget to check out Cahal Pech Archaeological site not a few hundred feet away.

Excellent lodging while in San Ignacio. Close to town, although up a steep hill. The room was satisfactory, with an incredible view. The hammock in the foreroom was perfect for relaxing, as were the multiple pools and bar. The restaurant deserves a special mention, with great service and a decent menu.
