I cannot say enough about how wonderful these people are! We were lost and we couldn't find the place that we had reservations at. they went above and beyond. Karen, the mother of the owner did everything she could to help us find the place we had reservations at and then when we went there we didn't like it so we came back and booked a room at Parham Plaza Hotel instead. it was so beautiful, the ocean was right out the window. There's a tree house sitting area and it's the only hotel on the island with a grass yard. Beautifully maintained! I could walk across the street to all the vendors and the boat docks. we took tours to swim with sharks and snorkel it was incredible. they have beautiful cats that come and visit you on your Terrace and the owner of the hotel rescued a little dog named Piggy from SAGA. if you get a chance to go there there please do! You'll have an amazing time!
Just across the street from the ocean and main marina for the water taxis!
I really liked this place. The owner recently inherited it from her grandfather and is hard at work renovating and improving the place.
The Staff:
The staff that I met were very nice. Obviously the owner is very pleasant and cares that you have a nice time. The housekeeping lady that I met was a very happy lady and very nice.
The Ambiance:
It's tough to beat being right off the water. There's an open area on the third floor of the building with a bunch of hammocks and tables and chairs. When the evening breeze comes through it's a very delightful place to have glass of wine and a cigar. The landscaping is very nice and well maintained.
The Location:
The location is prime. You're basically in the heart of what you might consider downtown. Being right across the street from the
The Building:
All the rooms have air individual air conditioning, something not all the places down there have. I've been in 3 of the rooms and they are all very nice and each has its own decoration.
Overall:
Overall this place is great and only getting better.
One of the best Hostels on Ambergris Caye. Centralized within town that allows easy commute from clubs, restaurants and shops. Great, great prices
Such a great getaway, perfect location and lovely accomodations!
Very convienent location! Cool set up with a lot of "chill" places to hang out if you want you. Cutest kitties and doggies hang out by the main office. The guy at the desk was helpful to get my paperwork straightened out when I had to explain that I had changed the dates - and the lady that originally booked it didn't enter it in correctly and no longer works there.
I stayed in a private roomclean and nice. Of course don't expect 5 star hotel accommodationsthe paint job in the room is sloppy but they always are in this kind of setting. A/C didn't seem powerful enough to cool my room but after a few hours the room was conditioned and comfortable.
The open air 3rd floor with hammocks and couches is awesome. Right in the center of town. Gated area, felt safe. Can hear the clubs next door pumping late into the night
$80 a night US for 4 beds (private room), fridge and private bathroom with shower? Amazing. The location couldn't be any better. The ferry is right across the street, airport is 7 minute walk. There's a huge rooftop patio with hammocks and couches. Also there's a comfy little tree house with bean bags in it that gets a nice breeze. My buddies loved to sit in there at the end of the day and upload snaps, pics etc. WiFi is great in common areas but not as great in room. It still works just slow. Cleaning lady comes in daily, staff did a load of laundry for me for $15 Belize. I This is a hostel.in Belize, not some 5 star property in NYC and exactly what we needed. Hostel La Vista baby!
Everything was spotless, the dorm, the bathroom and the kitchen. The staff was good!
Comfortable, clean rooms. Friendly concierge and good service. Free rum punch at 7pm and amazing views from the 3rd floor open air lounge (with hammocks!)
really cute place to stay. Host is a very nice woman, very friendly.
Incredible place in san pedro, the owner is such a great girl, is really cheap compared to other places in the island and is just in the middle of town, near to everything.
You have to stay here if you want to enjoy Belize, Hector at the front desk is super nice and chill and likewise for the owner. She accommodated us really well and the place felt better than home. You can chill with Piggy the puppy and some cute cats. Hammocks and couches on the roof, best view! Really great price
I traveled to Belize solo and was a bit nervous about meeting people and having a good trip. Well, staying at this hostel was the best decision I made! First, the rooms are minimal but great for $15/night. I was in a six bed room and some nights it was full and some there were only 3 of us. The showers had hot water and there was ample luggage storage. Bring a lock (or rent one) if you wish to utilize the storage lockers - note that they aren't big enough for your entire backpack, just your valuables and such. I also rented a towel. The atmosphere was very homey - there were hammocks and seating areas all over the property which made it a great place to hang out after scuba diving all day. As others said, there is complimentary rum punch every night around 7:00 p.m. which adds to the community atmosphere as many guests come down and hang out during this time which allows you to meet other travelers. Hector, the day manager, was super friendly and helpful with tips about San Pedro or just as someone to chat with. I don't think I've stayed in a more friendly, welcoming hostel and I can't wait to return! Especially because they are almost complete with a third floor and a tree house! Location is also super conveniently located near the water taxi/center of town which I really enjoyed.
