  Santiago is a great host. He's very friendly and such and interesting and knowledgeable guy. The food was outstanding and we saw Red Lore parrots, Howler monkeys, Toucans, and all kinds of birds. The cottages are on a farm and there is a beautiful view of the surrounding area including Xunantunich which is only about a mile away on the hillside.

  My husband and I booked a horseback ride and tour to the Xunantunich Mayan ruins. We were very happy with our guide William. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the site and was generally a total pleasure to spend the day with. After the tour Santiago fixed us a great lunch and we all sat down for a meal and stimulating conversation. One of the best days of an amazing trip. We would recommend this activity to anyone planning a trip to San Ignacio or Belize in general.

  Hanna Stables is a great place to photograph birds. Santiago the owner is very helpful and nice along with the rest of the staff. My favorite place so far to go photographing in Belize.

  Had an amazing riding trip to and from Xunantunich with our amazing guide William. The horses were great and filled with personality and we rode at a nice pace to and from the site. William was so knowledgable about everything from the local wildlife to Mayan history and even worked on excavating some sites on Xunantunich. It was so fascinating to learn about the ruins and related history. We finished off the morning ride and tour with a lovely chicken stew cooked by Hanna herself. Amazing hospitality, like being in someone’s home. Highly recommend a tour with Hanna stables.

  Some great riding with knowledgeable guides; I had a very comfortable, sunny room, surrounded by jungle noises - also fantastic food using fresh, home grown veg. Santiago and his team really look after you!

  Santiago, William, and everyone at the ranch provide the best customer experience that you will find of any tour provider. We booked our horse-back riding tour to Xunatunich through Maya Walks who, in short, messed up on several important details. But the good folks at Hannah Stables made everything right and did so with the most upbeat of attitudes. I just love them. Also, a person on our tour became ill so William was very attentive to her needs while not neglecting us, and later ordered a car to pick her and her mate up from the ruins while William took their horses in tow. As for the tour it is absolutely perfect perhaps even the best thing that I did in San Ignacio. You even get to cross the river on a ferry with your horse -- how many people can have that experience??? The Hannah ranch itself is located on the Mopan River and is a piece of paradise with a view of Xunatunich, growing organic crops, and taking care of the horses and other farm animals. I highly recommend that you take this tour and be sure to book it with them directly.

  Thanksgiving 2016 was our first time in Belize. We made reservations with Hanna Stables and I was really apprehensive; I had not ridden a horse in over 45 years. Santiago was a wonderful and knowledgeable host/guide. Horses were very gentle and easy to ride. We already have plans to return. Our trip to Hanna Stables was the highlight of our Belize vacation.

  What an amazing experience! Stunning views of Xunantunich, quiet peaceful hiking, private river access, orchids, Toucans, and other wildlife abounds. The best part is the hospitality shown by Santiago and his family/team. They are the reason we will be back to Belize - hopefully sooner rather than later.
  
  We left this place inspired and refreshed. I recommend everyone who visits Belize to stop here first!
