The casita at Lucky Dreamer Lodge is a delightful place to stay! The hosts, Cheryl & Jeff have anticipated every need you might have and are incredible helpful at recommending activities, eateries, you name it! Their charming pack of hounds are friendly too! Cristo Rey is a great base from which you can spend a week sightseeing and soaking up the flora and fauna. I highly recommend it!

Best Place ever!!! What an experience The little casita was perfect: very clean and beautiful, we felt like we were in the middle of the jungle, we could hear monkey roars and birds singing. Jeff and Cheryl were very friendly, always present to make sure we weren’t missing anything, they recommended a lot of places to go to and referred a touring company that just made our stay even more enjoyable. For people like us who need to work remotely while on vacation, the internet was amazingly fast unlike most Airbnbs we got.

Caracole, ATM caves, big Rock, Rio pools, were among the coolest things we experienced. If you rent a car, make sure to get a 4-Wheel drive. The roads are mostly dirt with lots of holes and bumps, not the easiest to drive if you’re not equipped appropriately.

Off the beaten path, Jeff and Cheryl are excellent hosts. If you're planning on traveling to Belize and you're not about resort life, but you also don't want the seedy hostel/backpacker hotel feel, check out the lucky dreamer.
