Sorry this place burned down
Burnes down but was a historical site and dogs of wars was film here with Christopher Walken
Once the home of the Governor when under British rule, this home turned hotel has lots of charm and character. The rooms are comfortable, have private baths and AC. Comes with a great view too!
Food was good but only one server had showed up to work when we arrived
Love the view and the old style of the building. Food was great and staff was very kind/helpful.
I stayed at this hotel for two nights early last month. The room was neat and clean. The air conditioning works well. Breakfast which is not included in the room rate is quite ok. You can't beat the location. It's right on the water adjacent to a luxury hotel where you can use the restaurant and bar if you wish. It's a safe walk of about 10 to 15 minutes to the center of town. The hotel staff are pleasant and helpful enough. On the downside, the corridors and public areas of the hotel are little bit drab. If you go anywhere tonight you need to take a cab, but that's true of any place in Belize City. I plan to return to this hotel in early February when I will be on holiday in Belize with my wife.
