We did not stay here. We had dinner one night and it was really good. The service was excellent and the grounds looked beautiful and well attended. If I had to choose between Blancaneaux and Gaia, I would go with Gaia.

Our stay here for four nights was good. They were able to arrange tours each day with great guides. Most turned out to be private or small group. They also arranged our transport to and from the lodge. Yes, the mountain roads are unpaved and rough but they are not dangerous in the dry season when we visited. Wifi was available in our cabana and the speed was very good. We found the food here to be boring and overrated. We enjoyed the cabana close to the river. Breakfast on the porch was a great way to start the day.

This place is magical, especially if you want to really get away. Most especially if you want a little bucket-list level adventure with a side of unspoiled luxury. We had the best time of our lives. Great adventure during the day followed by drinks brought down to the hot tub while you wait for your massage. Friendly people, great service, plenty to do, great dinners. Very remote.

Stopped in for lunch and it was amazing. Beautiful resort. We decided on a horseback tour and Aaron the guide took us on quite the adventure in the Pine Ridge savannah. Totally recommend.

The most remote and Romantic Hotel Resort we have every stayed in to date. what a lovely experience. It is an adventure to get here. A 2 hour ride in a Land Rover over the most bumpy and remote terrain was a horrible experience. However, upon arrival which you are happy to finally get there, the staff immediately worked to bring you back to normality.
The ride was so bad, we paid $300 to fly out of there on the way home.

But do not let the travel to the hotel stop you from going there. Upon arrival it was the most beautiful experience ever. The pictures tell the whole story. its hard to find a place like this. It was worth the price tag.

I hope to return to another Coppola resort in the near future.

Perfect escape from modern life! Nestled in the Belizean forest, Blancaneaux balances the "back to nature" experience with luxury accommodations and as much adventure as you want to experience. The "lodge" (resort) grounds are immaculate, staff professional, and dining top notch. A great place for those looking to decompress.

very chic place to stay. loved the décor and the surroundings BUT they used mosquito spray and did not close our cabana windows. needless to say, the DDT went all over our clothes, the floor, our toiletries, out toothbrushes, the sheets. EVERYTHING>.. very unhealthy for a place that calls itself organic with great vegies, etc.
