Wonderful hotel with beautiful grounds. Very Secluded location near Blue Hole National Park (Inland Blue Hole that is). If you like to be in touch with nature this hotel is great for that. The hotel is not close to any nice restaurants (even if you have a car) so meals are limited to the one hotel restaurant, but they do serve a variety of food and stay open late. The bar is staffed by Juan who is very friendly as are all of the workers here. Our room was excellent. We had a creek side cottage near the pool and it’s a nice location. Not sure what it’s like to stay on top of the hill but the creek rooms are close to everything.
The hotel has a nice hiking trail to their gazebo where you can have paranormic view of the entire area.response / report this review -

Loved it here! Absolute paradise. Nice private room with a deck and a running stream. Very relaxing. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating.

Couldn't say enough positive things about our stay at Sleeping Giant. Our mountain view suite was stunning, service was impeccable, the grounds beautiful, and the food at the restaurant was solid. We would absolutely go back and highly recommend to anyone considering. We've traveled extensively and this has been our favorite place we've ever stayed.

We were skeptical about staying in the same resort again because we had a fantastic time in the first time and we didn't want to spoil the memory but this is such a great place why risk it by going somewhere else. We had a mountain suite and the view and the room was unbelievable. The stuff is very friendly and there were many updates in the resort since our last time. There is a lot of activities in the area and they have a bus picking you up and dropping you off from the activities. Great restaurant, pool and grounds. We will definitely return

Amazing experience, from checking in to check out. The staff really did their best to help with anything you could want or need. The drivers and tour guides were all amazing too. The room was so clean, and private. There is no wifi or TVs In the room so it’s very intimate. You can hear the monkeys and see so many birds right from your room.
The food is outstanding, farm to table and everything is local.
I would 1000000% come back and recommend this resort to everyone.response / report this review -

Absolutely beautiful & people are so friendly! We went as a group but it's really destined for couples in my opinion. It is a very romantic atmosphere.many activities.we rode bikes, different educational hikes through the junglethere's a river to swim, kayak, or paddle board.no WiFi in the rooms ( only front desk) unless you get the Garden view rooms. Those are below the restaurant area. The staff is so friendly. There is also laundry service there.I also noticed the pool towels smelled so clean & fresh! There is a lot to dohorse back adventures, bird watch, cave tubing..There alcohol consist of rum or tequila.sorry, no Jack Daniels lol.and Belikin beer .I definitely would recommend as a romantic get away or if you like a different refreshing atmosphere! It's Gorgeous❤

This resort is absolutely beautiful! The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. I lost my underwater camera while paddle boarding on the river, when I told them what it looked liked in case anyone happened to find it and turn it in, they immediately sent a crew down to the river to search for it! They also provide a private dining experience with flowers everywhere and wonderful service for no additional cost.

The staff here was so lovely. Everyone got to know us. The grounds are beautiful, and our room at the top of the mountain was breathtaking. I totally recommend staying here.

I was told about this place from a friend so we only stayed 2 nights. It is amazing. So quiet and everyone is so nice and friendly. The first night we stayed in one of two rooms under the dining area and the next morning i was up at 5:45am since the kitchen was getting things ready for breakfast, i went and talked to the front desk and although they were full, they had a cancellation and put us in another room. They were so nice and aplogitic about the situation and even gave us a credit when we checked out (something they didn't have to do) I fell in love with the people and it felt like they actually cared about my family and me, greeting us by name each time we came to eat or in passing. I hope it never gets over crowded. We loved it there and hope to be back.

Great place to stay, fantastic grounds and staff. Close to the Blue Hole. Our room (Casita 10) was fantastic! Complete with back deck with hammock, and inside shower, and an outside private bathtub. Will stay there again our my next trip!

We had a great time here, and would recommend it to anybody. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Views of the jungle are amazing and you feel submersed into the environment. Hike up to the gazebo to really understand the beauty, but be prepared for a rigorous hike. If you are renting a car to get there, make sure it is a rugged 4WD because the driveway is tricky. My only complaint would be the cost of food at the restaurant. The prices are high, though the food is all good, if a little bland. This would not be an issue if you go all-inclusive.

We enjoyed our stay thoroughly- we almost were hesitant to rate it because we don't want it to become packed and/or expensive! You quickly get to know everyone at by name and feel like you are right at home- it's a step above great service- it's personalized great service! The rooms, especially Mountain View where we stayed, are exquisite! Like over the top beautiful, literally over the top, as it looks over the rain forest. Loved it! Also, the food was amaizing!

Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful grounds landscaped with numerous types of tropical flowers and other lush vegetation. Every guest room is positioned to maximize privacy and leaves you feeling like you are in your own portion of the jungle.

Had the most wonderful stay at the Sleeping Giant. The rooms were amazing. The beds were very comfortable. The outdoor tubs and showers made my day, and you can't beat having your morning coffee on your secluded jungle hammock on the back porch.
The resort has a bed and breakfast feel to it. Very friendly staff and beautiful grounds.
