Absolutely loved this place and the experience. Location is amazing. The room we had was fantastic. Great space with awesome view. Loved the outdoor shower, so peaceful. The staff was amazing, especially on check in and getting us to our bungalow. The large buffet style dinners were great. The resort offers a multitude of excursions and adventures. Will definitely visit again.

The first two days at Caves Branch was amazing the staff, the guests, the view from the room! We had so much fun cave tubing and learned a lot about the culture. However, we chose to do a guided tour to Tikal and my husband and I ended up becoming VERY sick. The couple that went with us also become ill after eating lunch in Tikal National Park. We drank from bottled water and thought we would be safe eating at a place requested by the guide. We ended up staying in our room for the remainder of the trip at St. George’s resort. We had to cancel all of our excursions and ended up in the emergency room when we made it back to the US. We were sick 5 out of the 7 days of our honeymoon. All in all.. please be aware that you’re not always safe even when given recommendations from guides! I wouldn’t wish that illness on anyone.

Amazing location, accommodations, adventures and staff! We went on a quick family trip and we were upgraded to a Canopy View Treehouse for the first night of our stay. Truly a one of a kind experience. We also went on the Waterfall Caveing tour, which was spectacular and a Birding trip where we saw almost 70 species of birds without even leaving the resort. They also lay claim to Belize's largest collection of different orchids. We missed the majority of the blooms (April) but it was overall a great trip. Stefan and our guide Marvin were superstars!

Accomadations are spectacular. The staff is very friendly, helpful and above all else very professional. The grounds are well maintained including a beautiful botanical garden. There are many fun activities including cave river tubing, descending down into a cave, and many other wonderful nature activities. The tree house has both an indoor shower and an outdoor shower. Being further south in Belize it is located in the mountain side providing some breath taking views.

The location is amazing and so beautiful. Staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. The activities are a blast. Make sure to do the cave waterfall climbing! I would definitely recommend Caves Branch to anyone!

Our adventure into the Belize caves was stunning. Our Guides Gusto and Ishmael were absolutely a blast. I told them to check out facebook so they could see all the terrible things I was going to write about them. LOL They were fun, careful and very knowledgeable. The adventure included hiking and floating. We had the opportunity to see beautiful formations, broken Mayan pottery, places where the Mayans held ceremonies and learned a lot as we went. We spent the entire day in the cave, including lunch. The guys packed in a terrific lunch and spread it on a white cloth on the floor of the cave. We rode to and from the cave in an old army transporter. I wish everyone could see what we saw. This will go down as one of Jess and my best adventures. I feel like we made some new friends.

We spent a week in Belize. Part of our time included one night in the jungle - at Ian Anderson's Caves Branch. When we first arrived, it seemed really cool. We were in a hurry, and our bags were checked, and then we left again to tour Xunantunich. As others have mentioned, this place has a monopoly on food, so we ate at a more authentic restaurant elsewhere. Otherwise, we would have been paying an exorbitant amount for our food at the lodge. We also bought some fruit at a local stand, and brought it back to eat in the morning. Unfortunately, during the night, a very large rat made it into our room. For a place that costs as much as Ian Anderson's and advertised as luxurious, I would expect it to be more secure than tent. Unfortunately that was NOT the case. We were able to chase the rat out - which climbed the drapes and disappeared into the ceiling. Obviously, we did not want to stay in a room that any wildlife could enter, so we complained to the night management. When the came to see the room, they said the rat was gone, so we could stay in the room. After more protesting, they asked for a picture of the rat - apparently we didn't look like the believable type of customers (definition: high rollers). Finally, they moved us into a room that just the previous day had caution tape around it due to hurricane damage. Since the room wasn't ready, there was still damage, and the sheets and floor were stained from the moisture that had gotten into the room. However, this room did not have any animals in it, and we stayed the night here. I know for a fact they had other rooms available, but chose not to give us one due to that being an "upgrade." The next day, we could still see the caution tape that had been there, but now was broken and flung to the sides. We spoke to day management before leaving that day, and explained exactly what we had to deal with the previous night. The woman at the desk was very rude, calling us liars, and not offering any reconciliatory discounts, or even a free breakfast. Belize is a wonderful place, and I will go back to Belize, but never to Caves branch. This was the lowpoint of the trip, and for a place that costs as much as it does, not at all worth it. Stay away.

From the moment we stepped out of the van onto the facility we knew this would be special. All the staff, the well appointed rooms, the amazing paths and gardens. The food, the excursions. Not the place to go if you are looking to Hang Out. But if you want some real life jungle experiences that are truly exhilarating and will create amazing memoriesGO NOW. We just love the people of Belize and respect them a lot for their dedication to their country and building a better life. We had such a great time we will definitely be back. We stayed 4 nights and that was perfect amount of time. Freddy, Lauren and Ed are a couple local treasures. Had a chance to speak with Ian who is very engaging and a great host. GO NOW!!

This place was amazing. Hands down one of the best places I have ever stayed at while traveling. Staff is incredibly helpful and friendly, the food was delicious, and the adventure tours were much better than expected. Would definitely go back!

AMAZING PLACE! I've been here several times now and the staff always treat me like family! The food is also incredible! The daily adventures are unforgettable, wether it's cave tubing, hiking through the thick jungle, visiting Mayan ruins or zip lining you will not regret coming here! It's like going to summer camp, only MUCH BETTER! 😊👍

The only thing I can really complain about is they wouldn't let me drink a coke with my breakfast - which is a little silly. The staff was genuinely kind and caring - they all wanted to learn your name and help you. The food was good and genuine to region. There is NO AIR CONDITIONING and we went in the off season which means HOTTER so that was a little rough. There is an excursion for almost all levels although I would not recommend this or Belize in general for the elderly or infirm it is more of an active vacation. The seating is family style and you get to know the other familys and what they are up to - it almost felt like we were at a family camp it Belize. I cannot imagine going to Belize, especially with a family and passing up a chance to stay at Caves Branch!
