Beautiful beaches, spotty service. Lily B was fantastic as a server, many of her peers need to take some notes.

Sticky lobby floor. Avoid this island and hotel. Bait and switch. Advertised as grand lucayan resort then you're routed out of their building into the shack next door.

The woman at the front desk used terroristic threats to force me into putting a band on my wrist. She said point blank, "security will harass you. You are on camera at all times. Security will follow you around and force you off the property." As i walked out of the lobby i spotted two guests walking around without wristbands. She tried to use por rationalizations such as, "the prime minister wears a wrist band" and then when I relinquished and started putting the wristband on she stopped me and said it wasn't tight enough even though it was plenty tight. This is a scam, I can feel it coming.

Great rooms, nice beach close to restaurants and shopping. On site dining was really bad, poor choices and quality.

Here is everything you need to know. I'm extremely disappointed with this resort. This is NOT the type of all inclusive you would expect to get. We were planning to stay here for a few days just us after spending time with friends at their timeshare earlier in the week. I figured this would be a nice way to round out and end our weeklong vacation. We got to experience the entire property so I can weigh in pretty much on everything. Here is a breakdown of the good, bad, and ugly.

Good: The pool, hot tub, beach is great. Wonderful views. The is the only thing this property has going for it. If you are a cruiser coming for the day and getting a day pass this could be a decent option. The gym also is pretty nice too.

    Bad:
Customer Service: By far the worst customer service I have EVER experienced at a hotel or resort. Mostly this HORRIBLE, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE customer service came from the front desk. Words can't describe how bad it was, especially the supervisor JeanMarie, she was the worst. They simply do not care about you, your stay, or anything else. Even management, director of operationsthe horrible behaviors came from the top down.

Rooms: The room is NOT a 4 star. This is a very basic room. There was mold in our bathroom sink. The room was also a little musty. Just basic, don't expect to get any type of luxury from this room. It is a place to lay your head. None of the "all inclusive" is covered in your room either.

Activities: There really is NOTHING to do except be by the pool by day. The property is absolutely dead at night. No night activities to get the guests going. Unless you leave the property you will have nothing to do at night. The property is like a ghost town at night. Everything is shut down.

Food/Restaurants: I thought this was going to be like other "all inclusives" I have stayed at with several options. There are not very many options at this property. If you stay here more than 2 days you will be forced to go off property. There is a restaurant called Portabellos this is the main dining with the buffet option. Absolutely terrible breakfast. The bread was all HARD and STALE, the rest of the breakfast was subpar. One of the dinners we had there was okay, not bad. The other option is Capri. This is a sit down but very small. The menu does NOT change nightly and the food is "okay" nothing to write home about by any stretch of the imagination. There is a coffee shop called Aroma. This shop has coffee, pastries, pre-made sandwiches and pizza during the day. The pizza is actually good. Finally there is the outdoor bar called Waves. The menu has about 5 things on it like a hot dog, quesadilla etc. This is only open during the day.

The restaurants were always empty with only a handful of people at any given time. Likely because it is so bad.

Drinks: The drinks are also subpar. This is not "premium" alcohol or even "moderately accepted" it is the cheap stuff that will give you a headache.

Spa: Mediocre at best. Definitely not worth the money you spend there. Services are okay, staff was nice here. The sauna was okay. The tubs weren't working properly. The steam room was broken.

Wristbands/Passes: Beware of what you are purchasing. They have a variety of options but will try to scam you to get the most money out of your. Ask questions and know your options. Once you make your decision you are stuck. The staff doesn't even know all the option so they will tell you different things. If you mis-purchase the wrong band they will just charge you again.

I'm so disappointed with everything about this place. I will absolutely never return and will tell everyone who asks. The good reviews are definitely misleading. I discounted the negative reviews with the mindset that "there are always few" no, the negative reviews were spot on and the most accurate. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE THAT WE DID AN GO TO THIS PROPERTY.

I didn't stay in the hotel but the resort was flat out gorgeous, the beach was beautiful and the pools and exterior area was kept really clean and just was an amazing place to chill. Their staff were amazing and so polite and helped me get WiFi to use since I had no service in the Bahamas.

We had a HORRIBLE experience. We were traveling with my 11 month old son. Upon check-in we noticed the lobby was hot, but we figured that's the way they kept it since it's open. We get to our room and it was hot so we figured the a/c was off. We turned it down and decided to head to the pool to cool off in the meantime. By the time we got back, it was still hot and seemed it wasn't working. I called the operator and they quickly apologized that the a/c wasn't working and said engineering was working on it. My son woke up drenched in sweat after a nap and when I called again the night manager, Kevin spoke to me to just tell me the same thing the lady told me and offered me a fan. We had to leave the room because it was extremely hot. We found out from someone that the a/c hadn't been working for a while!!! After everyone made it seem like it had just stopped working and it would be fixed soon. I was even called before I arrived and they left me a voicemail saying everything was fine and the hotel hadn't been impacted by the hurricane. I was livid to think that they would know I was coming with an infant and just to take our money they would allow us to still come in. They knew at the front desk when we were checking in and didn't even bother to mention anything to us. We had to check out that same night. When we checked out it went so smoothly because they knew it was wrong of them. The manager didn't even bother to show his face to apologize or anything. I heard good things about this hotel but I was so disappointed and I refuse to go back or ever recommend this place to anyone. This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation for my family and I and it turned out to be a nightmare and a waste of our first day trying to figure out what other hotel we can stay in. It was ridiculous

It was a HORRIBLE first and last experience. I am more upset that they allowed me to check in with an infant knowing the a/c wasn't working and didn't even warn us when we checked in. The manager didn't even bother to show his face after we called to complain and decided to check out knowing the a/c issue was going on for a while and wasn't going to be fixed anytime soon. They had no sympathy or consideration for my 11 month old son.

Worst resort I’ve visited (out of about 20). Staff is friendly and makes the most of if. Air conditioning is inconsistent, and was out for 3 consecutive days (as of the time of this post) with temperature in rooms about 90. The “all inclusive” restaurants and bars opened late and closed early. I would recommend getting a financial commitment from the resort that:
    1. The air conditioning will work 24x7
    2. The bars and restaurants will open and close on time

The beach is amazing, the food is not great and expensive, and the staff are either very friendly or rude. We got a desert with a moldy strawberry. The cashier was quite rude when I complained and had her manager come talk to us (who ended up being very nice).

We went to this resourt 4 years ago and it was amazing. But now it has gone down hill. Most of the resort is closed. The a/c went out while we were there. It only got half fixed and room temperature managed to get below 80 but not by much. Food variety was lacking. Food quality was lacking. We enjoyed the live music and dancing. Swim up bar was closed as was the pool it was located in. Casino was closed. Many of the restaurants we're closed. No mint to make mojitos.

Only good thing about the place is the view. The view from the room and the pool area is just magnificent. Except for that, everything else in this resort is very poor for the price they charge. I should specifically mention the bar - the wine they served is so pathetic that I could just sip once before throwing it away. Breakfast was good though, but rest of the food was awful. I stayed for two days there (06/30 - 07/02) and certainly not going to come back.

This resort is absolutely beautiful with awesome infinity pool and ocean view. However, I booked an all inclusive package which you can use till 11 am of the check out day but they don't open any bars till 11. What's the point ?
The food was not fresh. I got a salad that had mold in it. And got sick before leaving from the food.

Stars are only for the beautiful beach. The service here is terrible and the beach is littered with tourist traps. If the owners wanted a classy place, they'd clear their private beach of nagging local salesmen.

After hit by hurricane Mathew, the hotel is still closed. Only the Lighthouse Pointe opened so far. The surrounding areas are still like dead. Not wondering that the hotel personal is worried because the property is for sale. Nevertheless. The people trying to hope you enjoy your stay here and do what they can to make your stay a memorable trip. Room #80224 Garden view. 4 nights stay.

I have been to this hotel a few times, for a friend's wedding and as a stop on a cruise. The rooms are spacious and the views facing the beach are fantastic. The pools are awesome with swim up bar. If you stop by for the day, you can buy a day pass to use the facilities. Food and drink is expensive- $4 for a tiny bottle of Gatorade at the coffee shop. I walked across the street to pick up sundries and food if I needed. I would definitely go back.

This is a beautiful resort. The rooms, the view, the pool area, it is all stunning However, I have a few issues with the way the resort is operated. First of all, as you walk along the the restaurants and shops, you are constantly approached by time-share sales people. I am trying to enjoy my vacation, why would I want to sit and listen to a 2 hour presentation.
The all inclusive set up- In order to receive your all inclusive comp you must sign several receipts on each and every purchase. By the time we left I had over 100 receipts! I am sure they did it so that we could see how much their over priced food and drinks cost. Lastly, everything closes VERY early (9 pm) ! If you want to stay out late you have to leave the resort and take your chances across the road with the locals.
