Beach is incredible. People who work here are caring and helping. Married couple ( guests) had a very loud argument yesterday , so security guards stand by them for long time and worked miracles of family counseling.

Great location, private beach, restaurant staff is friendly and helpful. Ferry to town is very convenient. Rental car made the trip worthwhile we were able to tour the island. Rooms have a romantic sexy tone to them. Pool with slide and tikibar was great. Good hotwater showers, working oven so we could cook. Internet in the lobby not in your room. Good vacation spot.

Great resort over all! Restaurant, pool (massive), and staff was wonderful. Great value, too. Have your cab bring you to a liquor store to fill your fridge with beer. Drinks in your room are a pain to obtain.

We love it at Taino Beach Resort! The best pool and a private beach. Owners in the Marlin since 2014. A wonderful home away from home! The staff is awesome!

Super clean, very attentive stuff. Comfortable and sparkling clean rooms, we had been at the Marlyn part of the resort. They drive you to do shopping for a small extra fee. Rooms have spacious, fully equipped kitchen, balcony. The slide and the pool is the best on the island. Make sure to grab a drink by the bar they make them really good both alcohol and non alcohol. Also resort stuff have different entertainment on site , despite that we did not participate we heard from others that they enjoy the games and all. Ask on site about swimming with dolphins and glass boat tours.

Overall this was an ok resort. It is not very well maintained and still displayed damage from some of the recent hurricanes. The on site restaurant was mediocre but very expensive for what you get. The resort is situated right on a private beach which is obviously the highlight of the resort. The pool was nice and well maintained. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The place just needs a face-lift.

Fun in the sun! Pretty beach with free umbrellas & chairs, w/ showers, bar, restaurant, and vendor area. Everyone was friendly and willing to help.

This resort is probably from the 70s it is clean and in good state of repairs. The beach is nice and the pool has a giant slide for kids. The beach restaurant is simple and the quality of the food is average not bad resort unless you are picky
Update: we had a flood situation in one of our rooms which was promptly resolved by the staff. We were provided replacement rooms within 30min. All good. I am adding a start it that.response / report this review -

Enjoyable stay overall. Room was great, the best part was easy access to on-site beachside restaurant and of course the beach. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The only bad thing is the hotel seems a bit run down, most likely from the effects of hurricane Matthew.

Nice quiet beach. Staff has lots of free activities for guests. There are some nice paid ones too. Staff very accommodating. The newest rooms are in the Marlin.

Taino Beach resort has 3 buildings. The Marlin at Taino Beach is the renovated one, the furthest building from the beach (but only a 2 minute walk from room to oceanfront) and the only one worth staying at. The building closest to the beach is closed for renovation and the middle building is old and falling apart. The Marlin is clean and really very lovely. The only thing not satisfactory was that the small countertop kitchen appliances (like the toaster, the can opener, the coffee maker) were all very very old and dirty like they didn't replace them when they renovated. Everything built in (microwave, stove top) was new and clean. Bathroom was very clean and new. The smaller studio unit does not have a dishwasher but has a whirlpool tub, and these all have a view of the back parking lot. The larger 1 bedroom has dishwasher but does not have a whirlpool tub, and these are all pool front/view. They are lock off units so if u get both, u'll be connected with the best of everything. The hotel had no water for about 3 hours one day, but it was only 3 hours. The water pressure in the shower stall is very light but the pressure in the tub is great. The pool at this resort is 5 star. I've been to many luxury resorts from Vegas to Dubai and this pool is probably the best pool I've ever been to. It's only demerit is that is not the largest pool I've ever seen and it's not an infinity pool, but it's still big enough! It has swim up bar with wet and dry sections, lazy river, gradual shore-type walk in, water slide, little coves for privacy, waterfalls, tanning beds built in under the water, bridges and arches, lots and lots of space (it's not the biggest pool but it's huge). Pool loungers are the cheap white plastic ones but there are always plenty free, and there are hammocks around the pool and you can always find one empty. The pool is fantastic because it's CLEAN and I'm a clean freak! The beach here is also beautiful and calm and warm. No snorkeling on this beach but there are a few fishes swimming around your feet in the water. It's a very quiet hotel but well well worth it. Be warned though- there's NOTHING here except the hotel. If u want any sign of life, u need to take the ferry to port lucaya ($6 roundtrip, and 1 minute walk from taino beach). But port lucaya is still also very quiet and closes by 6pm, so really nothing to do there either. Supermarket (solomons) is a 20 min+ $20 taxi drive and they are overpriced for tourists. Not recommended unless u do the $4 hotel shuttle on Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon. The restaurant at taino beach (there's only 1) has very small offerings, but delicious. Strongly advise you pack everything you need for the week (food and kitchen and toiletries and supplies) in an extra suitcase and pay the $35 to check it. It's much cheaper and better than having to make multiple trips to get something u thought would be easy to get (like water bottles or coffee). Nothing is accessible so plan to stay put and bring everything u need. Day pass at grand lucayan is NOT worth it since 2 thirds of that resort is closed due to hurricane damage. The hotel snorkel trips are nothing great. 90 minutes- short and good for newbies, although we did surprisingly see a barracuda. This hotel is $25 taxi one way from the airport. There is no ferry to the other Bahamas islands from this island, so don't plan on any island hopping unless u have/ rent your own boat. There are no tours that go to any other island either at taino beach or at port lucaya. So plan to stay put. If u can handle that, u'll have a grand time

Walk across the street from the last water taxi stop and onto the grounds of this lovely beach resort. A pleasant place to relax in the sun. They are still recovering from hurricane Matthew so food and beverage service is limited.

I was staying at this hotel for a week and it was amazing, I loved it. They had a lot of activities to do there, everyone was so nice there, and the rooms were beautiful. But I have 1 problem with this hotel. I knew about the Hurricane in October and we went 2-3 months later. The pool wasn't open. I asked the front desk when it would be done. She said this week. I said, well ok. Then I asked a worker, he said 2-3 days. Which from there was Sunday for me. Sunday came. No pool. I asked another worker, they said tommorow. I said ok.. I can wait. Tommorow came. no pool. I asked another worker, they said, 12 at night the pool will be ready. Ok. I slept and at 10 in the morning I woke up. No pool. I asked the front desk again. They said, the worker who is supposed to fix the pumps keeps rescheduleing and they said they are coming tommorow. I waited until tommorow. No pool. I was leaving the next day so what's the point of asking again. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was the pool problem. Because the pool looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The activity coordinater was very nice, he filled a whole week with activities. And make blank spots throughout the week, and lets you do what you want. I hope that whoever took they're time to read this, I hope this helps you. And I hope the pool is open for you.

A great quiet resort with nice pool and beautiful beach.
Not an overabundance of places to eat, but take a trip to the grocery store and cook for yourself.

Stopped over on the Grand Bahamas Celebration Cruise and LOVED it. Did the all inclusive beach getaway with unlimited drinks and lunch included and it was well worth the money. The beach is spotless and the water is beautiful, with jet skis,banana boats among other things for rent. Staff was kind and fun loving. Would recommend 125%
