Great little gem on grand bahama. Not real fancy, but very comfortable, clean, and well kept. Very nice friendly people, always ready to help/guide.
Completely redone since hurricane Matthew, everything looks new.

Just spent a week at the yacht club. Nice place. Not high end luxury, but clean, comfortable and located in a great spot. People are VERY nice. We will go back.

Went for a time share presentation. Resort was ok but I'm pretty sure we were shown a model suite that was way nicer than the regular suites. To be expected for sure so one day they might all look like that - but now is not that day. Not too hard a sales pitch which was nice. Did not purchase.

Good burger, they were out of steak. Young man that served us was great, but other workers at restaurant were messing around all over the place, distracting server, making it hard for us to have a fast dinner. Place didn't have much food offerings, but tasted good.

Nice environment however the sales team that is employed to sell you a "Vacation club" membership are selling a product that is too good to be true. Buyer beware, don't let your lust for money take over. Check out some of the other time share resorts in the area. Highly recommend Island Seas. They have a beautiful beach, staff and the price is great.

This place has well maintained facilities right on the canal front. The rooms were spacious easily accomodating our party of 8. I would definitely return if the accomodations wete needed.

My family and I vacationed at the Coral Reef Resort in July of 2017! It's fabulous! The townhouses are really nice and roomy. Will be back next summer!

The place is not all that great. People are not friendly. If you happen to go there , beware of the scams for them to have you sign some papers. They would offer you many things that are not worth the money anyway as complimentary to find out later they will charge you.
Don't fall into signing up for their time share. They can even pretend to have a so called broker willing to work with you to find out later that is a lie. The managers don't even agree with each other. One tells you something, the other one tells you it is not true smh. Keep in mind that if you do, as soon as you sign, If you ever decide to cancel, you have just given them $2,000.00 at least.
Don't accept any complimentary stuff from them whether it be a car rental, fish fry ( which is a lousy, nasty food anyway), spa, guest party etc because you will soon find out they are not free at all.
They are not professionals. They smile at you to get your money , once you sign any piece of paper for whatever reason, they dont' know you anymore. They are more interested into your signature than anything else. The managers are con artists . They are just there to pretend they are in your best interest and they are knowledgeable until you don't fall for this nonsense, they take their claws out.
Beware, beware, beware.
If you happen to be in the area, be as far away from them as possible. Don't let them coerce you into coming to a meeting. That will be a waste of your time and money.
My advice also is if you want to get a time share, do it in the states where you can apply the laws and get justice. I am sure they are placed there to rip people off because they know you will most likely not return .
At the end of the day, the choice is ultimately yours. I can only advise you based on my experience. I have been to many places, but that place makes me never want to go back to the Bahamas or at least Freeport.
Cuisine is disastrous, everything is very expensive , resort sucks, people don't care about you but your money , people are not friendly etc.

To rate it , I would give it a negative rating. There was nothing good there and that is why we are in the process of going to another island for good food, exotic drinks, friendly people and people with a heart.

For us it was a real conning experience dealing with those people.
They are cons, crooks & crafty!
Beware if you were to go there!
Beware if you were to seat at the table with them. Do NOT sign! They are not too friendly there, but they would defraud you of your money with a smile. Tyranny of a smile!
They would use all the trucs & ruses even smiles; they would make mention of their "reputation", even befriended you, to steal your money.
They would be looking at you & smiling at you, while their hands are in your pocket. Beware!
Beware! They would even pretend to be Christians or Freemasons just to extort money from you. Do NOT trust them!
Do NOT sign! If so, you're hooked!
They would make you pay out of your tears. Even you cancel the Purchase Agreement within the 7 days allowed.

We have to say that Ocean Reef is the only resort we have ever been where, after you pay all the fees & charges for your vacation, they still have more charges as you are about to leave the place.
When asked as to why we're being charged again. Their reply was: "every resort has their own policy."
Thus, their "policy" is to take money from you anyway they can.
What a reap off!
Beware! That's only resort we have ever been where the people are not courteous at all. We were told that "Bahamians are very proud." The logic behind that philosophy is, if they were to be nice to you they would be kissing your butt.
What a stupidity!

Place is a dumb in the middle of nowhere. Staff are wonderful and doing their best to make it work. Gym has no airconditioning, the fan is broken, TV has no signal. Plants are dead. Food expensive and marginal. Transportation is very expensive and too far to walk anywhere

The worst resort ever. Lazy rude staff. Amenenties are extremely poor. Food is horrible. Staff know nothing not one ounce of knowledge about their own City town etc. Worst "vacation" EVER!!! And we travel the world!!
HORRIBLE. Giving one star is wayyyyy too generous.

Place is still renovating from huricaine Matthew. Beautiful pools!!! Loved the fishing. They have a spa onsite. Could use better air conditioners.

Mixed, but overall not positive. We actually vacationed here as we won a silent auction for a charity event. Given that we could sleep 6 people, we invited the in laws.

Needless to say - don't waste your money. When we arrived we were offered a 2 bedroom town home from a 2 bedroom suite. With 4 adults, and 2 kids, that sounded great. Turns out - this tow home was garbage.

First of all - the toilets were practically coming off the toilets, and the jack / Jill sinks in the master bath were busted. A number of lights and switches didn't work.

When I took it to the front desk, I didn't expect to be moved, but to have some offer to make it right. After all, I paid $3k to come here. I overpaid, by a ton. Instead I was told that without moving my family of 6 across the resort there was nothing they could do.

So wait - you basically downgraded my experience and then in order to make it right you want me to move across the resort? Well, no joy. I guess the car rental I paid $300 for meant nothing.

Now, I was willing to let that go. Things happen - I get that. That was until today. My family and I were interested in going to the Taino Beach Bonfire. The Lucaya marketplace had a stand for the Taino Resort / Lucaya Water Sports. Due to the hurricane, they don't have power and were not able to book us there. We didn't feel comfortable giving our r credit card to the gal working there (V Lowe). So we decided to mention it to the concierge desk at this resort.

We had the misfortune of running into "Lorraine", and when we told her they offered us a discounted price she rolled her eyes at us. She then called the Taino resort, and asked if their CC machine was busted. We told her it wasn't at the resort, but she didn't listen. She rolled her eyes at us again - and the way she spoke to us it was clear she was trying to catch us lying. Funny thing - this was right after Naomi (likely I misspelled that) wanted us to come to their time share presentation over breakfast. Uh huh

Instead of booking through our resort - we called them directly, and paif full price. We would have been willing to do that, but felt it was fair to ask for the discount we were offered at first. We booked other activities - but did it without their help.

Best part is - I actually brought our room issue to Lorraine's attention the day earlier. There were a number of people nearby so I pulled her aside. I didn't want to cause a scene, and wanted to make sure no one had a negative perception coming in. She told us it was appreciated. So, after doing the right thing I was called a liar.

To add to it all, we asked for paper towels and were informed they don't normally replenish those. They did give them to us, but really? It's six people in a room for a week, paper towels cost very little.

All we wanted was to be shown that they understood our problem, and make a genuine and honest effort to make it better.

I do intend to notify the charity I bought this from of the issue, the company that donated it, and anyone who will listen.

The best part? My wife and I could afford a time share here - and discussed it as a possibility before departing. No - there's no way.

All that being said - there was 1 lone bright spot. His name is Moose, and this dude rocks! If you see him around the resort say hello. He is a genuinely good human being, and works what seems like 6 jobs there. Always smiling, and helping everyone. This place doesn't deserve that guy - I hope someone from another resort finds him, and takes care

They were working on fixing the swim up pool when we were here. Bummer we didn't get to use it. But the other pool is really nice and the staff here is really friendly. They have helped us with everything we needed!

Perhaps one of the best non-beach views in Freeport Bahamas. The staff was friendly, the food was good and in the marina you could see some of the clearest water ever. Very quiet and free bikes to visit the beach. Rooms are well kept and recently renovated.
