Mitch and Camilo were both friendly and professional. They worked so hard for their money, didn't even stop for a break in the end. They moved efficiently, and were able to maneuvre our very stupidly large mattress, and large couch up two flights of stairs as they would not fit in the elevator. Such champions!

Informed company moving 3x1 into 4x2. Company decision made to send small truck and book only half a day. On the day job was 50% done, told me they will return next day. Ring next day, no one at the company even knew about me, no handover, no job logged, next available one week later. Receptionist instead blamed us for booking a small truck, booking half day, not being ready for move (decision entirely made by the company). The phone number listed is also often uncontactable.

All i got was a sorry, had painter lined up but couldnt come in as the house wasnt emptied. Horrific experience. If you want your house moved 50% then these are the guys you’d want, otherwise avoid at all cost.

We had used these guys previously (2015) and they were fantastic. I don't know whether the business has changed hands but the were appalling this time. It took them. 12 hours to move half a garage worth of furniture and boxes (prepacked) when before they had moved a full house of furniture in less than eight hours. The communication was terrible - no invoice, no updates, just charged our credit card without checking with us first. I will never use them again.

Anything but smooth

My mum used these guys when downsizing last year and it was a disaster. The guys themselves were lovely but seemed to lack and training (is this a thing) or at least coming sense of your job is moving furniture.

She had a lot of stuff and warned them about this but despite this the truck was too small and the job was not completed in the assigned day. Then the following day they didn’t even show up to help move the remainder as agreed.

Everything we identified as fragile was broken. Fragile decorative mirrors were transported upright in their most fragile points, obviously snapping. Antique chairs were scratched. A heavy slate table was carried by its legs, consequently breaking off its base and crashing to the ground. Not only was the table broken in to pieces, but it smashed through the wooden deck. Any attempt to discuss with the company was met with them saying that they were told the table didn’t come apart. Yes, the table was designed to not come apart; the slate top was secured to the metal legs. But when carried by said legs within supporting the weight of the large slate top, of course it broke and came apart.

Emails and calls were just not responded to. It was so poorly handled.

If you have not much stuff, no time pressure and nothing valuable, then maybe I’d recommend? Otherwise use someone else. We have moved plenty of times with cheaper movers and the same furniture and never had so many issues.

We moved within the same suburb this week. Could not be more happy with our choice of The Smooth Movers. Fabio and Nick punctual, efficient, polite, friendly and moved some very large furniture items very skilfully. I felt the cost was also very reasonable - our move cost us less than $1000 😊 Many thanks and happy to recommend.

I was very happy with Smooth Movers, they came on time, very polite, quick and competent. Mine was an internal move of a large cupboard which I did not want my husband to attempt or me. I am very pleased that I got Smooth Movers to move the cupboard, as now I have my cupboard moved without incident and a husband without a sore back. I will call them again and recommend them.
