Absolutely loved it! It's quaint, charming and very special. Beautiful atmosphere with the old style canvas deck chairing, the festoon and fairy lighting, the old style ticketing (including a door prize [hot drink or choc top]), the film memorabilia all tastefully put together in the small outdoor venue. It has a smattering of picnic tables for dinner together with friends before the movie (you can - and should - BYO all your own food and drinks - to compliment a few snacks or hot drinks from the little kiosk). They have cushions and soft, snuggly blankets on hand (free) to use for the viewing too. And there's heaps of free parking and clean loos too. And if you want to make a day/night/weekend of it, there's a campsite next door (I'll be back with my swag next season).
Only things to be aware of; if you haven't been before, beware of the GPS taking you the "back way" via firewood lane ( a gravel path), and the parking sign is hard to find in the dark (behind a young tree), and if you're new to outdoor movies, byo bug spray, and dress warm! If you're aware of these, there's nothing else that I think could be a problem. Absolutely enchanting experience! I'll be back.response / report this review -

Wonderful outdoor cinema. Very quiet, surrounded by nature and great for stargazing. Staff friendly.

Love Kookaburra Cinema, I've been going since I was a young girl and I'm sure I'll still be attending when I'm 80! Amazing atmosphere, you can bring your own food and drink and go a few hours earlier to eat and drink and chat. Great range of films on offer and wonderful customer service!

Experience Cinema! Get in early, reserve a seat with a cushion (provided if you don't bring your own) grab some grass or a table and eat dinner amongst the trees and listen to the wildlife. As the sun sets the vision will start and before you know you'll be lost in a great movie. This is an amazing immersion of nature and cinema that you must experience.

Enjoy your picnic dinner and glass byo, cuppa or buy dinner from kiosk. Such a lovely venue. step back in time. Plenty of picnic tables. supplied kids can run around lovely grounds before movie. Enjoy bird life Maggie’s strutting around the grounds parrots in the trees . Comfy deck chairs although pillows supplied advise bringing a few more. Can’t give this place a high enough rating. Love it.
