  Really disappointed by my meal today at the Dockyards. Pumpkin and chickpea burger pattie was past its use by date and the bread roll was stale. When I pointed this out to the Manager he invalidated me and didn't seem to care. A great pity about the food because its a lovely spot.

  I have to say, I have been in for a sip of the old amber nectar a few times here and the tap lines are clean and the beer has a crisp clear taste. Cocktails are made with care, and arent rushed out but anyone worth their oxygen knows that a good cockie takes time, care and that little touch of expertise that the dockies provides.
  
  Food?? Well who eats on a sesh anyway? - Nah food is actually really good too and they have promised to add Spiced Mead to their fermented collection.

  A great steak for a reasonable price. A great venue and cold beer coupled with friendly staff and great view of Newcastle Harbour. The lunch service was popular and busy but meals were delivered quickly. Unexpected bonus being that children eat free. We will be returning.

  Small enough to be "Boutique".
  Large enough to cater for various tastes.
  Staff: Friendly, hard-working, accomodating.
  Situation: Popular, Harbour views, (thus the name) which is one of its only downsides ie, One must enjoy or ignore the industry of factories across the water or the traffic of shipping on the river.
  Food: with a variety of specialist restaurants as neighbours the relatively small menu is appropriately a collection of traditional pub food and popular dishes (eg pizza) with interesting variations. The prices are on the expensive side of 'reasonable'.
  Overall: an excellent place to frequent, day or night, for a casually classy experience.

  On good Friday the place was very busy , the staff were still very friendly and helpful , the place has a lovely funky ambeonce and the food is delicious , would highly recommend this venue

  Nice pub just off the water. There is a solid beer selection on tap. Staff were friendly and there was a good atmosphere. Has an open plan that caught the breeze on a hot day.

  My 1St review for here was great but I thought I should update. We were regulars and last came in when there was still the old menu but a new chef. Our favourite sticky pork was not available so that aas a let down straight away and the rest of our food was tasteless . We let it go as a new chef was undertaking and old menu and that was also the excuse from the manager . So we thought we would give it another go and im sorry to say it will most likely be the last. My Oysters Kilpatrick were that drenched in a soup of bbq sauce that i found it hard to find them , the king prawn arancini wasbland with little to none prawn even in existance and our favourite, the sticky pork belly, was back but alot drier and than the lucious previous version. So alas im sorry to say this once favourite haunt of mine will no longer be a place to eat, still fine to drink and enjoy the view but what's that without good food

  Not too bad, came for lunch and it was enjoyable. The venue is nice, but is showing its age, with the timber furnishings showing water damage and general wear and tear. The staff were quite boring, showing little emotion and appearing emotionally cold, but were attentive. The menu had quite a lot on offer, all reasonably priced. The food was quick to arrive, and tasted pretty good too. I wouldn't rush back, but would be happy to visit again one day.
