Soltex were fantastic to deal with and provided us with a solution to suit our needs that we are very happy with. They installed a folding arm awning and four external zip blinds. The Soltex guys were prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. They provided us with timely onsite advice and explained the products and process clearly. From start to finish the entire process ran seamlessly and the products installed are of exceptional quality.

The awning is very large, effective at blocking out the sun and quiet to operate. As our house is located on a lake, at times it can be quite windy on the awning but it has proven to be very sturdy and able to withstand the wind. When retracted, it looks very modern and streamlined. The Soltex guys suggested that we install it with a slight downwards angle so that the awning could better shield the house from the low western sun. This allows us to enjoy our living area without having to pull down any additional blinds in the late afternoons.

The external zip blinds are very effective at blocking out the evening sun on our windows, and have made a noticeable difference in the amount of heat that penetrates the glass. Amazingly, there is still a high level of visibility through the blinds. When compared to our old internal blinds, they are much better at blocking out the heat and light but still allowing us to enjoy our view. It has been so nice to clearly be able to see our water views without the glare.

As an added bonus, as they fit tightly to the windows, they are able to keep bugs off our windows at night. Our previous blinds did not fit perfectly and so bugs would crawl into the gaps and make a home around the window frames. The blinds look fantastic as Soltex were able to match the powdercoat colour of our windows so that they blend in seamlessly, like they had always been there. Thank you Shaun and Dejan (Soltex).

Got block out blinds on all of our bedroom windows, as well as a blind for our outdoor area. Oh what a dream! I am sleeping like a baby. Seriously exceeded all expectations. Customer service was excellent and installation was smooth. Highly recommend!
