Great location, 5km out of Apollo Bay. Basic, clean accommodation, across the road from the beach. We left something in our motel room and the owner mailed it back to us and refused to be reimbursed for it. We were very grateful and very impressed. Highly recommended budget accommodation!

Deranged is the word I would use to describe their customer service. Fortunately, I have never actually stayed here, but dropped in to see if I could use the bathroom after a long drive from Lorne. The owner made us pay and as we didn't have any cash on us, we offered to buy a glass or bottle of wine so we could pay on card. The owner refused and abused us for not carrying cash. We managed to scrounge a few gold coins together and then while in our car and driving away she stopped us and harrassed us further. Truly, not surprised by the other bad reviews on here.

BEWARE OF SCAM! We booked an ocean view double room for the long weekend and were very excited about the trip until we arrived at this lodge to find ourselves being massively ripped off and treated like dirt by Joyce. Non-Australians please beware of Joyce as she’s a very racist, abusive woman with major anger management issues. To cut the story short - after a long 4 and half hour drive from Melbourne my partner and I were a bit tired and upon arrival my partner out of the tiredness missed the reception parking by a few metres; this outraged Joyce beyond belief. She came running downstairs from her house and started hurling abuses at both of us - in fact she started questioning our age and background as if we were there to rob something out of the property. Her behaviour was very erratic and she wasn’t ready to listen to us at all. We even informed her that we had a booking with them and that we have arrived a bit early. She did not bother verifying our names or our booking and gave us vague replies. On experiencing her aggressive tone and behaviour my partner and I then decided to leave the place asap and while leaving we asked her to refund the amount to which she simply replied “I won’t give any refunds and that we can do whatever the hell we want”. This proves two things one that her intent was simply to instigate us on arrival over a trivial issue which would obviously cause a friction between her and us, secondly that no one in their right mind would then want to stay there after being treated so poorly and it was very clear from the get-go that she just wanted to con us and take our money by being aggressive and rude.This whole thing not only caused a great distraught to us but also had put us in a situation where we had to book another place the very last minute. While speaking to some of the locals we had come to know that Joyce and her aggressive behaviour is quite well-known around the town. And reading through the reviews our opinion of her is proven that she is indeed a racist and often treats non-Australians very poorly. So folks please take our advise and avoid this place like the plague.

Nice motel, not really close to anything. It's clean, easy to find, rooms are average but it had all the necessary stuff (kettle etc .). The bed is comfortable. Also they upgraded my room to a see view one for free which is nice of them. Overall it's an okey no frills motel to spend the night along the Great Ocean Road.

Extremely bad manner!! The business owner was very rude and even said f words to customers! Bad room condition bad service!! I would not recommend anyone to stay in, definitely NOT!! Terrible experience and ruined my holiday!!

Staff are super friendly, even gave us a chance to feed the cows in the morning before they moved towards the hills in the afternoon. There is even a cute dog there! Food is 10/10 at the restaurant.
