Service was unbelievable. Honestly the best customer service at any place I've stayed. They helped my sick father fasttrack his way to a doctor, and helped prevent a potentially life threatening sickness. Beyond that, they were informative and understanding when we had to extend our stay. Would highly, highly recommend to anyone who needs to stay in Sydney.

Our stay was very enjoyable. Check in was trouble free and the room had all expected amenities. The location was perfect for our needs so we will be back.

Spent 5 nights at this hotel and found it quite pleasant. It's clean, has friendly staff and service overall was good. The breakfast experience was what I liked the most, the area and food offerings was great. Location was also key why I chose this hotel.
Would I choose this hotel again? Most probably not, but it doesn't refrain me from recommending this to friends and family.

Lovely room with two double beds, slippers, dressing gowns and quality bathroom supplies. Beautiful decor. Excellent location. Very good breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful. I"d like to especially compliment the barman working on Sunday afternoon 22/10/17 and your reception staff the following day. They went the extra mile when I discovered I'd left my phone on a plane. Highly recommend this hotel - it will be my first choice whenever I visit Sydney. We stayed at different, more expensive, well known hotel a week later and regretted it.

Beautiful Hotel with old world charm and very clean. The staff were very friendly and polite and always immaculate in dress. No view which was a shame but will be my hotel of choice from now on in Sydney

When we arrived 6 Aug reception was great and we stayed for two nights.
The general ambiance was a throwback to the early 1900s but it all added to the charm. We were upgraded and ended in this enormous 'room' which consisted of a lounge with comfortable couches, large TV, bureau and generally well appointed throughout although the lighting was a little dingy. A toilet with plush hand basin then another bathroom with shower, bath, toilet and two enormous hand basins. Various gels for use, shaving kit and all that goes with it. Bathrobes and slippers in the wardrobe. Then an enormous bedroom with yet another TV, well appointed with furniture (comfortable bed) in keeping with the general ambiance and it had a small balcony. Probably the largest hotel room we have ever stayed in.
Lifts we found to be very responsive. Breakfast as good as you need. Overall an excellent hotel to stay at and when we visit Sydney again it will be number one as it is next door to Circular Quay and trains.

My wife and I attended a networking event in a function room at the hotel. The event itself was great. We were a little disappointed by the food, but I don't know whether that was catered or cooked by the hotel. Once the room was filled up, the air con was not cool enough. The room got quite warm. In particular there were supporting poles throughout the room which blocked the view to the centre stage which was annoying. Also one of the wait staff, who appeared to be the head waiter was not very friendly. The other wait staff were very friendly and even gave us extras. The room was quite dim.

Went here for afternoon high tea. The bar/dining area was very fancy, had an Elizabethan feel to it. The service was decent for the amount of staff working (one). The high tea was pretty delicious. Best clotted cream I've had in Sydney so far to go along with the scones. Would recommend.

Stayed in the Hotel as part of a wedding party. Staff very friendly and helpful. In general very clean but wallpaper in several rooms has seen better days. Hotel very useful for activities at Circular Quay or Botanic Gardens.
Breakfast good but items that ran out after 0930 were not replaced. Release of Credit /Debit Card hold funds is slow.
Traffic noises not heard in road front rooms. Good Harbour views from East facing upper rooms.

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around

I'm happy to join the crowd of people recommending the Sir Stamford. We've chosen to stay here three times. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are large and well maintained, the interiors are spectacular and the restaurant and quiet bar is as you would expect for a top flight hotel. The pool area is on the small side, but the tremendous position more than makes up for that.
