Fantastic resort; clean, comfortable, plus nice and quiet. Great location; close to town centre and beach. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly; and take the time to experience the local tours so they can honestly recommend them to guests. Can't wait to go back again

Shantara is in a great location and Is close to everything which was a huge plus. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious. I do however feel as though the name ‘Shantara Resort’ is misleading, as its just serviced apartments with no real resort element to it at all. My husband did make mention that he felt like he was staying in a retirement home. I also don’t think it was well communicated that you needed to pay an additional fee of $35 per day to have your room cleaned. All in all it was a nice place to stay but not the ‘Luxurious’ accommodation I thought it would be

Fabulous stay at Shantara Resort last week. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Loved the studio apartment which was well equipped and maintained. Love the way every apartment overlooks the lagoon style pools. Will definitely stay here again!

Very nice resort. Every room overlooks a pool. This is the first time we have stayed in an adults only resort and it was a great choice. The staff are very friendly. Would definitely recommend Shantara Resort.

Definitely 5 stars!!
This was our third stay at Shantara and we can't wait to return. This time we had a one bedroom pool deck apartment which was so spacious. We just love everything about this resort. The standard of cleanliness is outstanding 👌The staff are warm , welcoming and efficient. 🤗The location is perfect, there is no need to have a vehicle. A five minute walk to Macrossan Street shops and restaurants, five minutes to the beautiful Four Mile Beach and an eight minute walk to the Marina. It is simply the PERFECT place to relax and enjoy beautiful Port Douglas.response / report this review -

We spent 11 nights during the last part of August at the beautiful Shantara Resort in 2A ground floor pool deck 1BR apt. With a slider off the balcony into the bedroom and another slider off the balcony into the lounge/kitchen it was an extremely spacious apartment and together with the shared laundry facilities (with neighbouring 2B apt) we had everything we could have wished for to make our holiday comfortable. We enjoyed the cooking facilities including the BBQ facilities at the back of the pool area. The only grumble I had was that we received only 1 mid-stay room service which I feel for 11 nights is not enough. All that aside we loved our stay and will go back in a heart-beat. Reception staff are very welcoming and helpful with tour bookings etc. We have stayed in other resorts in Port Douglas and Shantara beats them hands down particularly as it is child-free. The location is as close as you need to be to the shopping centre and is a 5 minute walk across to the beach. Thankyou to the Shantara team.

You know how you're often disappointed after arriving at a venue that you've booked online? This is NOT one of those venues! What a spectacular location. Shantara Resort was everything we'd hoped for and more. Fantastic facilities, very clean and well cared for. All staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. Handy to the centre of town, marina and beach - we had a car but didn't need it at all. Extra bonus of being a child free venue - very peaceful! We had an amazing time and will definitely be back soon!

Stayed 6 nights in April. Loved the room, loved the pool, loved the location. We stayed in a studio pool view and other than wishing our room was a touch bigger we couldn't fault Shantara. The staff were lovely and very knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to book here again.

Excellent hotel. It is sort of apt style - has washer and dryer free to use, and cleaning has to be requested. Overall though great service from the front desk. They knew the best tours and booked them all for us. Just added them to our final bill at checkout. Location is great, less than a five min walk to the Main Street. Request a ground floor, most rooms have direct access from the patio into the pool!

What a fantastic place to stay in Port Douglas! Close to town, close to the Marina, 2 gorgeous pools and no kids! We stayed in the Pool View 1 bedroom apartment which was great. The staff were so friendly and helpful and made bookings for the Daintree Wonder Tour (which was excellent) and the Sky Rail for us. We will definitely stay there again!

Thank you Shantara, we just got home from a perfect 8 days in port douglas staying at Shantara, we reluctantly flew home yesterday and are already planning our next holiday.. beautiful staff, modern spacious rooms, immaculate pool areas.. all round perfect place to stay.. Thank you for a perfect holiday.. and your guidance on day tours and stories.. very happy.. x
