This mechanical shop is an absolute rip off!! Seriously, don't go there ever to get your Roadworthy or Service for your car done. I bought a 4wd last year from a private seller and wanted to get the RWC from Repco. They found 10 different problems that had to get done before it would pass the Roadworthy. They told me it would cost at least $1500 but probably even more. I went to two different mechanics since I wanted to get a second and third opinion. Both mechanics could only find half of the problems. They charged me $800 to fix the car and I got a RWC. That's HALF of the money Repco wanted to charge me. The second time I experienced their horrible service was when I sold my Toyota Yaris. The buyer wanted to have a thorough check on it and spend $180 for a full service. Again they found so many things that had to be fixed and they wanted to charge her $600+. $100 alone for changing the spark plug (not sure why it had to get changed since I never had any problems with starting my car). I had the car myself for just 3 months and I did 5000km on it. Back then it got the RWC straight away and my mate who has his own mechanical shop told me it's in a top condition and I won't have to worry about anything.
Repco rips people off! They always found mechanical problems no other mechanic can find. They charge more than double the money compared to other mechanics in town. I seriously don't know why previous customers gave them 5 star ratings. This shop obviously makes extra money by deceiving customers! Never again!

Excellent service and very honest mechanics. This mechanic fixed my problem, picked up on things that had not been completed fully by a previous mechanic, and also advised of things needed to be done in the near future. Great integrity and great value. Keep up the great work Smithfield Car Diagnostics as i will definitely be back. 😆

Great service. The team at Repco checked my car over, found a problem and fixed it at a price I was happy with. :) They explained what needed to be done, quoted accurately, fixed it in a day and explained what was done - which I really appreciate. Thanks guys. See you next time.

The best mechanic in Cairns. Our vehicle was broken, and no other mechanic couldn't find the problem. He was the one that found the problem and helped us to fix it. Very grateful for his help! Thank you! The prices might be a little bit high, but you will get your car fixed. So many dodgy mechanics out there doing it cheaper, but you will get no guarantee to fix the problem.
