Beautiful cinema in a great location. Very friendly and helpful service. The food service is great value as everything is provided in generous portions. Generally offer a full suite of films, both mainstream and independent. Might want to check in advance if your session is subject of a group booking as this can impact the atmosphere somewhat.

I got to take a great affogato into the cinema. There is also plenty of comfortable seating, and dining options which make staying worthwhile.

Very good service at the counter. Good selection of nibbles plus good coffee & wine. Comfy airy cinemas. Clean toilets. Good parkung & bonus in arcade can do some shopping!

Love this local theatre. Medium sized almost boutique movie theatre where you can get a bottle of wine and cheese plate and take in with you to watch your flick! Perfect place for an adult night at the movies 🎥

If you want to avoid the busy cinemas like village and hoyts in the CBD and main shopping complexes then you can't go wrong with the Palace Dendy in Church Street Brighton. It's a smaller, boutique cinema but don't let that put you off as the service is great, the seating is really comfortable, and it offers a good mix of continental and art-house as well as mainstream and blockbuster movies. It has a wine bar with a good selection of food, including cakes and beverages, and other than during kids movies, you can even take a wine, bubbles or beer in with you.
Tip: There is basement car parking available at Dendy Plaza, entry via St Andrews Street but it's not cheap. But have no fear, as you can often get a park at the back of the cinemas via Well Street. Another tip, if you join the Palace Movie Club you get complimentary tickets, a birthday voucher for food and beverage, exclusive offers such as cafe & bar combos and discounts, and access to special events. All these things aside, if you ask me the real benefit of the club is that if you don't like the film you are watching and let them know within 30 minutes of the session starting, they will give you a free pass to your next movie session. Surprisingly good experience. Smaller boutique cinema with more unique films as opposed to the block busters. Payed parking available in garage.

A little secret in Brighton you can still go to the movies on the cheap here. Tickets and online system great.. seats good.. Take in a glass of red.. And enjoy a night out without dealing with parking at other larger shopping centres

The Palace Cinema at Dendy Brighton is awesome. There's something about it that just feels more chilled than say a Village cinema. It might be the casual seating area, the fact that it's separated from the small shopping centre, or the fact that you can buy a glass of wine or a beer to take into the cinema with you (except kids movies), but it just feels comfortable.
The seats are comfortable and clean, cushioned boosters are available for children (rather than the hard plastic things that Village provides). The only downside is parking can be a bit more of a nuisance, with most areas during the day being 2 hour parks. There is parking in the basement of the cinema (and you can get your ticket validated at the cinema), but that's not cheap as far as I can remember. We generally park in Well street out the back.

I prefer the Palace Brighton Bay, which has far more character, but this cinema is larger and tends to have the more mainstream movies on its circuit. Apart from one very oddly "L" shaped cinema, all the other ones are very pleasant, clean and a far better experience (subjectively) than the large commercial complexes. There is one caveat: all the Palace cinemas are more suited to the Art or esoteric movies. These are not the places to see the latest 3D Star Wars on the biggest screen with Dolby Atmos.

Who doesn't love a cinema where you can buy a drink and take it into the cinema with you?
They take their film seriously here, with good picture and sound quality.
Cheese boards and other food options offer good alternatives to pop corn.

Love it. From the lovely staff, the nice small but not too small cinemas as well as having all the latest movies. Great selection of food and beverages too. Big thumbs up 👍🏼

This is a great cinema complex. I've been coming here for 30 years and it has Leave maintained a high standard of customer care. It shows a mix of blockbuster and limited release films and has a wine bar. All within the easily accessible Dendy complex with undercover parking with direct access for the cinema.
