  Great location, easy walk to a number of bars and restaurants. How Australian is a beach view with eucalyptus and palm trees in the same frame. Even mum can park the car in the space. Helpful check-in and well informed tour information.

  The apartment is superbly placed and on first impression is lovely but the fixtures are dated and the air conditioning is so noisy it is impossible to sleep with it on. No lifts so getting to the second floor with suitcase was a struggle as we are pensioner's.

  Overall the one bedroom beachfront apartment was OK but not great.
  
  Telstra reception - or rather the lack of it - is a major issue. I couldn't make or receive calls but wi-fi is OK and there are landlines in the apartments.
  
  The water in the shower was hard to regulate and both the entrance door and balcony door were hard to open - it took me two days to work out the `knack' for both of them. In terms of accommodation - you could do better for the same price.
  
  Locality is great though - walk across the road to the beach - if you want to risk the crocs - and close to the few nice eateries.
  
  Better value if they get the Telstra issue resolved.

  Overall very bad experience. Poor customer service and even rude behevior. NO wifi and mobile reception (Telstra). The good things I can say about this place is the great location and lovely apartments (we've paid more to have an apartment in a building with an elevator).

  Stayed two weeks in Nov.2013 . apartments very good , well situated modern and well looked after. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good bus service into cairns and other places nearby. All excursions were bookable at reception where staff pointed out the best ones to book. Plenty of places to eat and drink within a short distance Good value for money would stay again. Ken McGowan.   After having bitter experiences with other apartments in Gold Coast and Port Mac, I reluctantly booked a 2-bedroom apartment in "On the Beach Holiday Apartments" and crossed my fingers as the price was right and was waiting for 'what is the catch'. I was surprised that everything was really worthwhile, accomodation, service, views, neat and clean apartments with all modern kitchen, two bathrooms and toilets and excellent facilities. The pool was small but sufficient for us to relax. Even the locality was really great. There were excellent views from the balcony of the apartment that we still remember. Being close to the beach, we would go for morning and evening walks everyday.
  
  I would recommend this place to anyone who would want to have a good holiday with the family.
