I'm from Canada, my sister and I were traveling around and stayed her acouple nights during August. Amazing I came back home and went to get my ski pass and the lady who gave me my pass had an Aussie accent so we talked about where she was from and found out her parents own this place. Absolutely crazy

Beautiful hostel with very friendly staff! Don't miss the Australian BBQ on Mondays with crocodile, kangaroo and emu meat. Definitely the cleanest hostel in Australia :)

One of the nicest hostels I've ever been to! The staff were lovely and the whole place was really clean and comfortable. The price per night was very reasonable. Not a party hostel at all - it has quite a relaxed environment. The wifi is super strong as well which was so nice to have after two months on the road. Highly recommend!

Stayed here last year and had a fantastic time, a perfect balance of relaxed atmosphere and fun / friendly people. Massive thank you to 'The Oasis' for introducing me to the people I travelled with for months and remain close friends with now.

Literally an oasis in the center of Cairns! Very comfortable hostal, quite and with a very kind and friendly staff! Definitely recommended

It's a nice small hostel, not like the real big ones. I found it to be clean, laid back and friendly. The wifi works perfect. It's not exactly in town where you want to be. More a chill place outside of town and not a party place but still a bit loud. Most of where you want to be in Cairns is near the lagoon and it felt quite dangerous walking back to this location at night in Cairns because you leave the well-populated and well-lit centre and have to walk through some homeless, loud drunks in the street to get back here. A little bit expensive for the location.

My favourite hostel in Australia. Amazing staff. Cozy rooms. Insanely clean kitchens. The real winner though was the free towels. A luxury after using a microfiber towel on the road for weeks!

A nice quite hostel. Only a couple blocks from the center so it's easy to go out and come back for a nice quite night. If your looking for a hostel that isn't all about the night life then this is a good place.

I had an absolutely marvelous time during my stay at Travellers Oasis! It was very clean and quiet, the people I met were awesome and in general were very respectful of both the hostel and your good night's rest. Helen and Mickey are amazing, as well as the entire Travellers Oasis Team! They recommended and booked all my tours, and they made sure the tours they recommended were tailored to my desires. The hostel itself is within walking distance of most things in the city and is a stone's throw away from the Cairns Shopping Centre, so the location is perfect. I cannot say enough good things about this hostel, I will certainly be visiting here again! Five stars is simply not enough!
