Under new management and kicking goals!!
Not been here for a few months, as the last time we went they had no cook and the service was underwhelming.
We gave it another go on 18 April 23 and we’re so glad we did.
It’s obviously under new management but they have only made some minor changes to the seating layout and in my opinion are keeping it much cleaner.
Two ladies behind the bar, I don’t know if they own/run or work there, which is a great indication of the service we got.
The place definitely has a more family friendly vibe though.
Kilkenny Red was in fine form and very well priced.
Wife had a bottle of beer, it’s hard to get that wrong.
We ordered beer battered chips and they were excellent.
The meals we saw coming to tables looked very good, so we are definitely coming back for dinner.
We were then treated to a live rendition of some Radiohead on the piano, which was brilliant.
This place has changed, not massively, it still has all the lovely Irish themed posters etc, but it’s definitely a better place to visit.
As long as we have the fires going in winter, it will be a regular for us.

I stayed as a guest. Room size as they said, pretty old building but i accept for budget. male toilet latch is broken

This hotel felt very unsafe - during the middle of the night a man was bashing in doors and had a knife on him - we later found out he had been employed by the hotel, the police were called but the owners were extremely slow to come to the hotel and we never heard anything further from management at all, not even an apology. The experience was terrifying and it’s upsetting that the hotel staff seemingly do not care at all. This being said, the Bar staff were lovely when we went and the rooms were clean - the bathroom was sadly full of mold. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Me & my husband stayed for 1 night here as a stop off & we absolutely loved it here! It was a budget price for the area, it was a shared bathroom but it was really clean, the room was really clean & nice too, the room had great facilities, it had a kettle, tea & coffee an iron & ironing board, there was a communal coin washer/dryer in the shared bathroom area. The bed was super comfy, we had a great nights sleep. We loved the bar downstairs, we arrived at 1pm and stayed in there until 11pm, they had karaoke that evening which was great fun, it was so nice chatting with the locals! The food was incredible, the best meal we’ve had in a very long time, I would 100% recommend this place, especially the food, it was really yummy ❤️

Reasonable size pub and restaurant. The sports bar is a larger area of the hotel. There was a guitar gathering and it sounded great.

Guirar by the Glass on Mondays at 6 pm. I tried Vindaloo Beef for 15 dlls tasty and cheap what else do you need?

Loved to come on Anzac Day while they supposed to open later still opening the door for me to watch the NBA game I came for. While waiting for the game I even helped paint the wall. Haha. Thanks

No frills sports bar - the best spot to watch the All Blacks in Perth (unless they're showing it at the casino).

Have always loved the old world decore of this venue in past years with exceptional food to match.. Sadly on this visit, visible was a mish mash of furniture. I don't think a wooden outdoor table setting is fitting in a dinning room of this era . Food on this visit was ok but I dream of the food from a few years ago that had the flavor hit we all strive for .

I pulled into this local pub and what a pleasant surprise. The food was better than expected. Staff were pleasant and attentive.i would recommend everyone to come to this place
